I have registered for both Kcet and neet but Im only writing neet because I was told for getting seats in karnataka medical college I have to be registered in kcet is it true

Tanya Gupta 19th Feb, 2025

Yes, registering for KCET along with NEET is required for securing a medical seat in Karnataka under the state quota. While NEET is the only entrance exam for MBBS admissions, KCET registration is necessary for participating in the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counseling process. KEA manages the allotment of government and private medical college seats under the state quota, and only candidates registered through KCET can apply for these seats. However, if you only aim for AIQ (All India Quota) seats, KCET registration is not needed. Ensure you complete all KEA formalities to be eligible for Karnataka medical colleges

57.4% Jee mains In General-EWS. What colleges can my friend apply to?

Prachi Kumari 19th Feb, 2025

Hello,

With a 57.4 percentile in JEE Main 2025 under the General-EWS category, your friend may face challenges securing admission to top-tier engineering institutions.

However, your friend can consider the following options:

  • State Engineering Colleges : Many state-level colleges accept JEE Main scores with lower cutoffs.

  • Private Engineering Colleges : Institutions like Amity University, Lovely Professional University (LPU), and Narula Institute of Technology often have more flexible admission criteria.

  • Participate in State Counseling : Engage in state counseling processes, as some seats may be reserved for candidates with lower percentiles.

  • Explore Alternative Entrance Exams : Consider appearing for other engineering entrance exams conducted by specific states or private universities.

  • Management Quota Seats : Some private colleges offer management quota seats, which may have different admission criteria.

It's essential to research individual college admission requirements and stay updated with counseling dates to maximize admission chances.

You can also suggest to use the JEE Main College predictor tool to predict which college a candidate can get based on score.

Hope you find it useful !

will i get admission in this KJ institute for bams with 300 marks in neet form obc category?as i m the gujarat student only by state quota?

Kenma Kozume 19th Feb, 2025

hi ,

with a NEET score of 300 and belonging to OBC category under gujrat state quota , you have a reasonable chance securing admission to the K.J. Institute of Ayurveda and Research for the BAMS program.

  • In the 2022 admissions , the closing rank for the BAMS course at K.J. Institute of Ayurveda and Research was 206,388 for the General-All India category.
  • Given that your score of 300 falls within the qualifying range for the OBC category and considering the previous closing ranks, it is likely that you may secure a seat under the state quota.

However, please note that cutoffs can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall performance

For the most accurate and updated information, it's advisable to:

  • Contact the Admission Office of K.J. Institute directly.
  • Monitor official announcements from the Gujarat Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) .

hope this helps

I got 77 percentile in jee mains 2025 . iam an ews candidate... belong to andhra. can i get seat in nit for cse. Ive seen that nit Andhrapradesh is teir 3nit. so is there any chance to get into nit Andhrapradesh

Kenma Kozume 19th Feb, 2025

HI. ,

Based on your 77 percentile in JEE Main 2025 and being from Andhra Pradesh , securing a seat in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at NIT Andhra Pradesh is unlikely . Here's why:

  1. Percentile to Rank Conversion :

    • A 77 percentile typically corresponds to a Common Rank List (CRL) rank beyond 2,00,000 .
  2. Previous Year's Cutoffs :

    • In 2024 , the closing rank for CSE under the Home State (HS) quota was 14,707 .

For the OBC category , the closing rank extended up to 25,704 .

hope this helps

i have studied in class 6 to 10 in kerala and completed my inter 1st and 2nd year in andra pradesh state board , will I be considered local or non local for neet councelling

Kenma Kozume 19th Feb, 2025

hi ,

here is how your local/non local quota for a state will be chosen

consider the following parameters according to the two states

For Andhra Pradesh State Quota:

  • Andhra Pradesh considers candidates as local if they have studied at least 4 consecutive years in the state before Class 12 (Intermediate).
  • Since you completed both 1st and 2nd year of Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh, you might be considered local for Andhra Pradesh's 85% state quota (subject to verification).
  • If you did not meet the continuous 4-year study requirement, you might be treated as a non-local and will be eligible for only unreserved (non-local) seats.

For Kerala State Quota:

  • Kerala usually requires Class 10+12 education in the state or a domicile certificate to be considered for the 85% state quota.
  • Since you studied Class 6 to 10 in Kerala, you may still be considered non-local unless you have a domicile certificate proving Kerala as your permanent residence.

Final Status:

  • Local in Andhra Pradesh (if your study duration meets their requirement).
  • Non-local in Kerala , unless you have Kerala domicile proof.
  • You can still apply for All India Quota (15%) in both states.

hope this helps

Hi my score 56.4809141 persentile in jee main with OBC-NCL catogory with 7.5 reservation iam eligable for NITS trichy

Devraj Student Expert 19th Feb, 2025

Hi,

As per your JEE MAINS percentile that is 56.4809141, your expected JEE MAINS 2025 Rank may range between 558495 - 558493 approximately.

Based on the previous year analysis, with your JEE MAINS 2025 Rank and category, it seems to be quite tough for you to get a seat un NIT Trichy.

Some of the other colleges in which you have good chances of getting a seat includes:

  • Central University of Jammu
  • K.J college of engineering and Management Research
  • Galgotias college of engineering and Technology
  • Oriental Institute of Management and Science
  • S.K.N Singhad college of engineering
  • Vilram University

You can predict more colleges using the JEE MAINS 2025 college predictor tool.

Hope this information will help you

i got 150000 in jee mains with ews category. can i get a seat in VSSUT. what rank of jee mains get in cs branch in VSSUT for ews category.

Prachi Kumari 19th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Based on previous years' data , securing a seat in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) under the EWS category typically requires a JEE Main rank within the following ranges:

  • Gender-neutral candidates : up to approximately 52,946
  • Female-only candidates : up to approximately 64,066

With a JEE Main rank of 150,000, admission to the CSE branch at VSSUT under the EWS category appears unlikely. However, you may consider other engineering branches at VSSUT with higher cutoff ranks or explore similar institutions where your rank meets the admission criteria.

You can use the JEE main College Predictor tool to predict which college you can get based on your score.

Hope you find it useful !

Can anyone specify all the documents required for Neet form filling and also wanted to know that my permanent addresses different from current address so what documents will be required for that

Tanya Gupta 19th Feb, 2025

For NEET 2025 form filling, you need essential documents like a recent passport-size photograph, postcard-size photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and a valid government ID (Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport). Additionally, you require your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets or certificates, a category certificate (if applicable), and a PwD certificate (if applicable). If your permanent address differs from your current address, you generally don’t need additional documents for NEET registration. However, for verification purposes later, you may keep address proof such as an Aadhaar card, rent agreement, or domicile certificate ready.

My daughter got 76.75 percentile in JEE Main year 2025, she is under SC category, know about her ranking

Kenma Kozume 18th Feb, 2025

hi. ,

Based on the available data, a JEE Main score of 76.75 marks for a candidate in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category is likely to result in a percentile below the qualifying cutoff for JEE Advanced. The qualifying percentile for SC candidates in 2024 was 60.09.

While exact rank predictions are challenging due to annual variations in exam difficulty and candidate performance, historically, SC candidates with scores around 76.75 marks have found it difficult to meet the qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced.
