Does DU provide UG courses without CUET?

Prachi Kumari 3rd Mar, 2025

Hello,

Delhi University (DU) mandates the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to its regular undergraduate (UG) programs. However, there are exceptions:

  • School of Open Learning (SOL):

    • Offers UG courses without requiring CUET scores.
    • Provides flexible learning options, including online classes and study materials.
  • Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB):

    • Female candidates can enroll without CUET scores.
    • Admission is based on Class XII board marks.
  • Other Universities in Delhi:

    • Institutions like Ambedkar University Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia offer admissions without CUET scores.

In summary, while DU's regular UG programs require CUET, alternatives like DU SOL, NCWEB, and certain other universities in Delhi offer admissions without CUET scores.

Hope you find it useful !

Cuet exam arts k liya kon si book achi hai

sadafreen356 3rd Mar, 2025

To prepare for CUET exam, NCERT books for humanities subjects and Oswal books are considered good.

  • NCERT Books

NCERT books are according to the NTA syllabus.

These books cover the entire syllabus of CUET.

These books prepare the students for different types of questions that may come in CUET.

NTA has chosen NCERT books as the recommended resources for CUET.

  • Oswal's Books

Oswal Books helps to crack CUET (UG) General Test.

These books help improve student preparation through blended learning.

Keep the following points in mind while choosing a book for CUET exam preparation:

  • The book should include all the topics mentioned in the official CUET Humanities syllabus.
  • The book should have clear explanation of the basic concepts.
  • The book should contain chapter-wise practice questions, sample papers, and CUET mock tests.

GOOD LUCK!!

Sir i have made a mistake in filling cuet up form my 10th % is 75.8 but my mistake i did 75.2 . do i need to correct it ? will i face any major problem bcaz of this

A small mistake (75.2% instead of 75.8%) in your CUET UP form is unlikely to cause major issues.

What to Do?

1. Check the correction window and update it if possible.

2. If correction isn't possible, inform authorities during document verification.

3. Carry your original marksheet to clarify the mistake.

Since the difference is minor (0.6%), it should not affect your admission, but correcting it is best.

Is it important to fill the aggregate of all the 6 subjects instead of top five subjects of class X for CUET registration?

Prachi Kumari 3rd Mar, 2025

Hello,

Yes, it is important to fill in the aggregate of all six subjects in Class X for CUET registration if required by the application form. Here’s why:

  1. Form Guidelines – CUET may specify whether to enter the top five or all six subjects. Follow the official instructions.
  2. University Requirements – Some universities may consider all subjects for eligibility.
  3. Accuracy – Entering all subjects ensures no discrepancies in your application.
  4. Avoid Rejection – Incorrect data can lead to disqualification.
  5. Board Variation – Some boards mandate six subjects, so CUET might require all scores.

i got 85 percentile in jee mains ews catagory girls candidate so can i get any nit or gov clg or iiit

sadafreen356 20th Feb, 2025

With an 85 percentile in JEE Mains EWS category as a girl candidate, you have a good chance of getting admission to some NITs, government engineering colleges, and IIITs, but likely not the top-ranked ones; you might need to consider lower ranked NITs or other government colleges depending on your branch preference and specific state cutoffs.

  • You percentile Not enough for top NITs:

An 85 percentile in EWS category might not be sufficient to secure admission to the most prestigious NITs like NIT Trichy or NIT Warangal.

  • Consider lower ranked NITs:

You can explore options in newer NITs or NITs located in less preferred regions where the cutoffs might be lower.

  • Check state-level government colleges:

Many state-level government engineering colleges have lower cutoffs compared to top NITs, and you might get a good branch there with this percentile.

IIITs:

Depending on your branch choice, you might be able to secure admission to some IIITs with this percentile.

What to do next:

  • Analyze the cutoff trends:

Check the previous year's cutoff trends for different NITs, IIITs, and government colleges in your desired branch to see which ones are within your reach.

Participate actively in the Joint Admission Counselling (JoSAA) process to choose colleges based on your rank and preferences.

  • Consider your branch choice:

Certain branches might have lower cutoffs compared to others, so choose wisely based on your interests and career goals.

Hope you get what you want...

IAM SAKING HERE FOR NEET 2025 FORM ADDRESS REG., , MY FATHER BELONGS ANDHRAPRADESH HAVING OBC CATOGERY NOW WE ARE IN CHHATTISHGARH MY WHOLE STUDY UPTO 12TH IN CHATTISHGARH. I HAVE OBC CERTIFICATE FROM ANDHRAPRADESH STATE EXCEPT OBC REST OF ALL DOCUMENTS WITH CHAATISHGARH STATE NOW WHAT CAN I DO

Tanya Gupta 19th Feb, 2025

For NEET 2025 registration, your state of eligibility for the 85% state quota seats will be Chhattisgarh since you have completed your entire schooling there. However, your OBC certificate is from Andhra Pradesh, which may not be valid for OBC reservations in Chhattisgarh. Each state has its own OBC list, and the certificate must be issued by the respective state authorities.

To claim OBC benefits in Chhattisgarh, you need to obtain an OBC certificate from Chhattisgarh authorities. If your caste is listed under OBC in Chhattisgarh, apply for a fresh certificate. If not, you will be considered a General category candidate for state quota seats in Chhattisgarh but can still claim OBC benefits under the All India Quota if your caste is in the Central OBC list.
