Hello,

For CUET 2025 , if you have an EBC (Economically Backward Class) certificate , follow these steps while filling out the CUET 2025 application :

  1. Select Category: Choose General/EWS/OBC/SC/ST as per your state’s classification.
  2. If EBC falls under OBC in CUET: Select OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and upload the valid certificate.
  3. If EBC falls under General/EWS: Choose EWS if eligible, otherwise General .
  4. Upload Certificate: Ensure it is in PDF format, clear, and valid as per CUET guidelines.
  5. Verify Details: Check state and central reservation rules before final submission.

If an OBC category student has 45% marks in 12th then he cannot apply for cuet

Kenma Kozume 8th Mar, 2025

hi ,

The eligibility criteria for CUET (Common University Entrance Test) UG 2025 depend on the specific universities and courses you are applying to. CUET itself does not have a minimum percentage requirement , but individual universities may have their own eligibility criteria.

CAN AN OBC STUDENT APPLY FOR CUET ?

- yes

However, check the eligibility criteria of the specific university and course you are interested in. Some courses (like B.Sc. in Science subjects) may require 50% or higher marks in Class 12, even with OBC relaxation.

hope this helps

If a person belonging to OBC category has 45% marks in 12th then he/she cannot apply for CUET

Divyanshi Priya 8th Mar, 2025

Hello!

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) application is open to students from the OBC category who achieved 45% marks during their 12th class semester. OBC students together with other reserved categories need to earn at least 45% marks in their exams while the General category requires 50% as their minimum standard.

The acceptance requirements differ according to which university and study program you plan to apply. Universities set higher admissions requirements together with extra application rules for their particular academic programs.

You should check the following steps to confirm meeting the requirements .

  • 1. Visit official university sites for checking their separate admission requirements since universities occasionally apply minor differences to their admission standards.
  • 2. To resolve your uncertainties consult directly with the admissions department of the universities which capture your interest.
  • 3. The preparation for the CUET exam will increase your opportunities to get admitted to an institution despite your reduced 12th-grade grades.

OBC students who want to enroll in CUET should check individual university requirements about minimum marks because they can still apply with 45% scores. My best wishes accompany your studies for the CUET exam and subsequent college admissions.

kumardurgesh1802 8th Mar, 2025

Hello Daksh,

Your son narrowly missed the UCEED Part 1 cutoff but can still explore private design colleges that accept UCEED scores, such as MIT Pune, UPES Dehradun, Srishti Bangalore , and Anant National University .

Alternatively, he can apply for B.Des programs through NID DAT, NIFT, or other private universities offering strong design courses. If he’s passionate about design, he can also prepare for UCEED 2026 and reattempt.

i have uploaded my signature in capital letter in cuet ug.... will my form get rejected?? please answer.. Im very worried

sadafreen356 7th Mar, 2025

Don't worry, I've got you covered. According to the CUET guidelines, if you've uploaded your signature in capital letters, it might not be a major issue, but it's always better to correct it to avoid any last-minute hassles.

The good news is that CUET provides a correction window, which will open on March 24, 2025. During this time, you can edit certain fields, including your signature.

To correct your signature, follow these steps:

- Log in to your CUET account on the official website.

- Edit your application form and upload your signature in the correct format (not in capital letters).

- Save the changes and take a printout of the updated form for future reference.

Remember to double-check the CUET website for any updates on the correction window and editable fields.

hlo , i have done diploma in cs with humanities in10+2 , now i want college for btech in cs , are there any exams like cuet or jee for better colleges . am i eligible??

kumardurgesh1802 6th Mar, 2025

Hello Ishika,

Since you have done a Diploma in CS and had Humanities in 10+2 , your eligibility for B.Tech in CS depends on the admission criteria of different colleges.

1. Eligibility for B.Tech

  • Lateral Entry (Direct 2nd Year Admission): You can apply for B.Tech in CS via LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Tests) in many states and universities.

  • Regular B.Tech (1st Year Admission): Some colleges may allow diploma holders, but JEE Mains and CUET UG mainly require PCM in 12th for B.Tech admission.

    2. Entrance Exams for Better Colleges
  • LEET Exams (For Lateral Entry): IPU CET (Delhi), WB JELET (West Bengal), AP ECET, TS ECET, etc.

  • JEE Mains & CUET UG: Mostly require PCM in 12th, so you might not be eligible for them.

  • Private Universities: VITEEE (VIT), SRMJEEE (SRM), and other universities have different eligibility rules—some accept diploma holders.

    3. Alternative Options

If you can’t get into B.Tech CS, you can also consider BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) or B.Sc. CS, which have similar career opportunities in IT.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Does DU provide UG courses without CUET?

Prachi Kumari 3rd Mar, 2025

Hello,

Delhi University (DU) mandates the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to its regular undergraduate (UG) programs. However, there are exceptions:

  • School of Open Learning (SOL):

    • Offers UG courses without requiring CUET scores.
    • Provides flexible learning options, including online classes and study materials.
  • Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB):

    • Female candidates can enroll without CUET scores.
    • Admission is based on Class XII board marks.
  • Other Universities in Delhi:

    • Institutions like Ambedkar University Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia offer admissions without CUET scores.

In summary, while DU's regular UG programs require CUET, alternatives like DU SOL, NCWEB, and certain other universities in Delhi offer admissions without CUET scores.

Hope you find it useful !
