Hello Aspirant,
An English Hons syllabus consists of British Literary History, Literary Theory and Criticisms among other subjects. An average question paper of English Hons will ask you about the history of British English Literature, some questions from Shakespeare, the different literary movements of some specific ages (like the Renaissance, Reformation, Humanism, Puritanism, etc.), major works of those ages, themes and critical analysis of them, and some literary theories and criticisms like Plato's Republic, Aristotle's Poetics, etc. It depends on your syllabus a lot, what they could ask.
Hope this helps
