kartikjain2548 Student Expert 20th Aug, 2019

Hello,

Mechanical department is one of the best department in Jadhavpur University. The faculty, facilities, etc. everything are very good. This department is comparable to some of the IIT's as well as NIT's. Many core companies come for placements and almost 80-90% students are placed.

Yes mechanical engineering has a very good scope because it is one of the most important core branch among all in engineering branches. There are many government as well as private jobs available for ME students.

Which has more scope btech biotechnology or Electrical and Communication engineering

NACHIKET MOGHE 10th Jul, 2019

Look, the scope and the placement finally depend on your skills, and how much interest you show, now in general, India doesn't have a lot of scope for Biotechnology Engineering, but it does have a scope in foreign countries. While Electrical and Communication Engineering has a little scope/jobs in India, but most change their field to IT, and continue. So you have to keep these things in mind, and make your decision

I took physics in bsc but i am not very intelligent in physics but i am average in it. I want ask you that in physics there will be scope

athira_1490858591 Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019

Hi Rohit,

Congratulations on getting a seat for B.Sc.

B.Sc Physics is not a very easy course to do, but you'll be able to manage with the help of a supportive faculty and with the right books. The scope for Physics includes research jobs in PSUs like ISRO, teaching jobs in schools and college etc. However, these would involve a deep understanding and interest in the subject. If you realise you cannot do it or are not interested, you can always switch your field to maybe doing an MBA after your b.sc or you can opt for other jobs like Banking, Govt jobs by clearing Civil Services, CGL etc. You could even consider changing your stream, that won't be a problem.

plz tell me the scope in Electrical engineering n tell me job opportunities in govt or pvt sector n future scope?

Sourav Sarkar Student Expert 10th Jul, 2019

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

As you will be knowing that Electrical Engineering branch is one of the oldest and core branches of Engineering.

Many relatively new Engineering branches have originated from this branch, such as- Electronics and Communication Engineering, Control Engineering, Power Engineering etc.

And electrical engineering is a core branch of Engineering. It is an evergreen branch. Qualified Electrical Engineers are always in demand, since most Industries use electricity and electric machines. Engineers are required by Industries for operational, maintenance and manufacturing purposes.

Scope:

For graduates, job opportunities are available in Government as well as Private sector. Talking about Government sector jobs, the prime recruiters are- BHEL, Indian Railways, Indian Armed Forces, ONGC, Thermal Power Plants, Power Stations, State wise Electricity Boards, PWD Department etc.

Most private manufacturing units and industries makes use of electricity and machines. Thus, it is safe to say that directly or indirectly, a large proportion of industries hire Electrical Engineers!

Starting salary depends on different factors such as- quality of College, marks scored in exams etc and may vary between 2-5 Lakh Rupees per year.

NDA deals with what? There is any scope for aeronautical engineer in NDA

varunprathore442_6159888 Student Expert 9th Jul, 2019

Hello Alfiya,

Please specify about which NDA you are talking about as in india NDA is majorly known by NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY and it is a tri service training academy (ARMY, NAVY and AIR FORCE). Basically NDA is only for male candidates and  not for females. In NDA they offer only BSE degrees and not BTECH. The btech degree for armed forces is provided by NAVY ACADEMY, AND ARMY ENGINEERING COLLEGE, pune. And the armed forces does not deal with aeronautical engineering they deal with core engineering branches like MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL and CIVIL. So NO there is no scope for aeronautical engineering at NDA.

I hope you will find my answer helpful.

All the best.

Nishant Rathore 9th Jul, 2019

Hello Raj,

If you are a domicile holding candidate who appeared for WBJEE, then your Category is useful else it's not in WBJEE

Now, assuming you got that domicile going in there for you, you can expect the government colleges in West Bengal like Kalyani, Jalpaiguri Engineering College, etc.

What is scope and placement of electronics and computer engineering.

Harsh_1559193822 Student Expert 7th Jul, 2019

Hello,Mayukh

Scope and Placement in ECE and CSE :

CSE

  • Subjects are easier to understand as generally no prerequisites are required to learn most of the subjects in this field as far as i have experienced subjects are easier to get good marks which will improve your percentage.
  • Skill development- You can learn coding in various languages like C, Python.. etc, which has great demand these days as they are in use for website development, App development so not only you will learn but also implement them.
  • Placement- Core companies are a lot in number for placements in CSE these days which offer from low to high packages in good colleges. Your skills will be upgraded if they are product based companies so CSE is a good option.

ets talk about ECE now,

ECE

  • If you good skills in mathematics then subjects are easier to learn otherwise you have to spend time to learn, as mathematics will help you a lot in laying the base of ECE, So start building strong foundation in calculus specially, if you want to go for ECE otherwise, passing a subject would be hard ! After that, believe in yourself and learn ECE from good author books and never go for shortcuts for building your basics and ECE will be interesting to learn.
  • Skill development-You can learn PCB designing, FGPA, ASIC,DSP etc which are in demand in industries these days landing a successful career in good companies like Intel,SanDisk as IC designer,Embedded Emgineer ,Telecom Engineer or any other profile in ECE.
  • Placement-If you want to work in a Core company then i highly recommend you to take a good college like IIT,NIT or any other but good college as these companies come there only for core placements otherwise you will land up with an average job in a service based company will give you no opportunity to apply your ECE skills.
  • One more thing if you do justice with learning in ECE then there is a great future in government and PSU sector as ISRO, RAILWAYS, DRDO like organizations recruit ECE people but only if you do justice with ECE and learn it wholeheartedly so there are lot of opportunities in both of the fields and remember HARD-WORK IS A KEY TO SUCCESS no matter what choice you take always stick to this fact and give your best.

So after considering these points in mind choose your option wisely without i would stress this line—WITHOUT SEEING WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING AND TAKING WHICH CAREER CHOICE.
