I got 188 marks in neet & I belong to obc . Can I get admission for MBBS in any gov. college . ps- actually I passed 12th in 2019 with 80% from B.S.E.B. and I got 579 marks in neet 2021 but I wanted to get more marks I tried again but due to some family problems I couldnt study for last 2 months.

pdwords Student Expert 21st Dec, 2021

Hello,

With 188 marks it's highly difficult to get GMC through state quota or even AIQ which generally has higher cut-offs, though you may have chances for deemed universities such as

  • Sri Lakshmi Narayana Inst. of Med. Scien., Puducherry
  • Meenakshi Medical College Host. and Res. Inst., Chennai
  • Santosh Medical College
  • Bhaarat Medical College Chennai
  • ACS Medical college ,Chennai
  • Datta Meghe Nagpur

however, this is completely based on previous year data, cut-offs are subjected to alter every year based on various factors such as

  • total number of candidates appearing for the exam
  • difficulty level of the paper
  • top NEET scores
  • reservation
  • seat matrix, etc..

I have passed my 12th from rajasthan board in 2019 and also qualified additional maths as private student from the same board in 2021. my college course require pcm and Im fulfilling the eligibility criteria. Do I have to upload gap certificate or my year of passing will be 2021?

Moumoyee Chakraborty 1st Nov, 2021

Greetings!!

Since you fit to all the criteria asked by your college, unless your college specify or ask for any such gap certificate you does not need to provide the gap certificate. Usually Gap Certificate is asked at the time of Masters but not during your Bachelor's degree after 10+2, so check their criteria and upload the documents when necessary.

Good luck!!

This is because,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

Now,

your year of appearing for 12th board examination is 2019.

So, with 2019 as 12th board exam appearing year you

  • Were eligible for jee main 2019

  • Were eligible for jee main 2020,

  • Are  eligible for jee main 2021

For your reference,

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-

--------) Qualification required :- to be eligible  for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification.

Course

Required Criteria based on Class 12th  or equivalent

-----)Mathematics,

--------) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible  for JEE mains 2022 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent  in 2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020

--------) There is no age limit to be eligible

--------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.

But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For only this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % was lifted off.
