The year in which you are attempting your boards examination will be the year of your first attempt.
Now you are saying 2021-22 this can mean two different thing that you are getting in 11 in 2021-22 or you are in 12 and attempting for your boards in 2022.
For the first case the first attempt for JEE MAINS will be the year 2023 i.e., JEE MAINS 2023. For the second case, the first attempt will be in 2022 ie., JEE MAINS 2022.

See if you have to choose between this two colleges, then I would recommend you to go for GITAM University. The college have very good faculty members with specialization in trending topics such as Data Management, Cyber security etc, so you will be able to learn some of the most trending topics from the experts in the field. Also the placements in GITAM is better than that of SRC. SRC is mostly visited by small start ups and mid range company but in GITAM the big companies approaches the colleges, so you will have better possibility to get a job in top companies.

Hi Aspirant,
Given the conditions you described above , you may not be able to give 12th board exams again from CBSE after this gap. So I would suggest you to apply for the board exam from your native state board. You may get a chance there to give your 12th board exams(given that you satisfy the eligibility conditions).
Refer the link below to get more information about your state board,

Hope this helps. And don't loose hope because there's always a second chance for everyone.
Good luck!!!
