Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well...
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. IELTS has two types: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. Both tests assess your English language skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking.
IELTS General Training:
The IELTS General Training test is suitable for those applying to study below degree level. This includes an English-speaking school or college. It can also be taken for work experience or other employment training.
IELTS General Training is also required for migration to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK. The test features everyday English language skills that you will need in social and workplace environments.
IELTS Academic:
The IELTS Academic test is suitable for those wanting to study in an English-speaking university (higher education). IELTS Academic can also be taken up for professional registration purposes. The test measures if you are ready to begin studying in English. It features vocabulary that is familiar within an academic setting.
Both these tests have the same Listening and Speaking tests but different Reading and Writing tests.
Listening Test Format:
You will listen to four recordings of native English speakers and then write your answers to a series of questions.
Speaking Test Format:
The speaking section assesses your use of spoken English.
Reading Test for IELTS Academic:
The Reading section consists of 40 questions to be answered in 60 minutes. It is designed to test a wide range of reading skills. These include reading for gist, reading for main ideas, reading for detail, skimming, understanding logical argument and recognising writers' opinions, attitudes and purpose.
This includes three long texts which range from descriptive and factual to discursive and analytical. These are taken from books, journals, magazines and newspapers.
Writing Test for IELTS Academic:
Topics are of general interest to, and suitable for, test takers entering undergraduate and postgraduate studies or seeking professional registration. There are two tasks:

Hey,
The pandemic is very unpredictable and it's difficult to say anything in advance at this point of time. Till now only final year students are allowed to take the exam and start the classes only if the college decides to do that.
Anything can't be said and if your degree permits then there is a possibility that your classes will happen online.
So be prepared for that.
Hope that helps
Thank you
Hello aspirant,
For the practical marks of Class 12, the Maharashtra HSC Board has prepared an assessment method through which marks will be given based on the board’s normal existing policy on practical exams. For the theory marks of Class 12, 40 per cent weightage will be given for the exams that were conducted in Class 12. These exams, the Maharashtra HSC board specifies, could be unit tests, first-semester exams, or practice exams taken by various schools. For the rest of the 60 per cent marks, 30 per cent will be taken from Class 11th HSC marks and the other 30 per cent will be taken from the average marks of the best three performing subjects of Class 10.
For private, repeater and those candidates who were to attend the exams of isolated subjects in Maha HSC 12th exams, separate assessment methods have been decided.
Hope this helps,
All the Best!!

Hello Simran,
The IELTS exam has various variants. The two most popular variants are IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training. The syllabus of IELTS 2021 is prescribed by the British Council, IDP and Cambridge ESOL Examinations. You must prepare for IELTS keeping the syllabus and test pattern into consideration. IELTS syllabus consists of four compulsory sections – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking sections. The listening and reading sections of IELTS syllabus will remain the same for both IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic. However, the listening and speaking sections will vary in terms of test content. The IELTS 2021 is designed to test your basic knowledge of the English language at study, at work, and at informal/social gatherings. The results of IELTS are expressed on a unique 9-band scale.
The Academic version of the syllabus of IELTS 2021 includes three long texts where the subject matter range from the descriptive and factual to the discursive and analytical. The texts are authentic and are taken from books, journals, magazines and newspapers. These are selected for a non-specialist audience but are appropriate for candidates entering university courses or seeking professional registration abroad.
The writing component of IELTS Academic includes two tasks. Topics are of general interest and suitable for candidates planning undergraduate and postgraduate studies abroad or seeking professional registration. Task 1 Candidates will be presented with a graph, table, chart or diagram and asked to describe, summarise or explain the information in own words. Test takers may be asked to describe and explain a given data, describe the stages of a process, a flowchart of how something works or describe an object or event.
Task 2 Candidates would be asked to write an essay in response to a point of view, argument or problem. Responses to both tasks must be in a formal and academic style. Arguments should be supported by relevant examples.

Your academic qualifications are pretty decent. But you shouldn't forget that there may be candidates with better academic qualifications competing with you. Therefore, it is advisable for you to up your game. You could do that by taking up some certification courses, live projects, internships, etc. All this, along with an exceptionally good CAT score and a good GD-PI performance, can collectively help you land a seat in one of the top IIMs.
