However nowadays as far as IITs, NITs and IISc Bangalore is concerned, they have somewhat relaxed the Admission Criteria. Besides BTech in Production, Materials or Mechanical, you may require GATE Score for Aerospace, to secure a seat in MTech. However you should check the Elgibility Criteria for your Target Universities before deciding on apper for GATE or pursuing MTech in Aerospace.

Hope you are doing all good. There is no such basic topics that you might want to cover in your inter for better knowledge in Aeronautical Engineering. Cover your syllabus- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) well so that you get admission in a good college. The rest you will learn in college itself. If you really want a head start in college life with regards to Aeronautical Engineering, consider clearing your fundamentals and try to have a solid foundation in both Physics and Mathematics.

The cutoff for AEEE varies for the various categories of candidates.
The cutoff will vary for four engineering campuses under amrita vishwa Vidyapeeth.
For the Bangalore campus, the cutoff for CSE is near 6-7 thousand.
For the amritapuri campus, the cutoff is near 6-7thousand (open) 16-17 thousand(state).
For Coimbatore, the cutoff for CSE is near 6-7thousand (open) and 12-13thousand (state).
And for aerospace is 5200 rank (open) and 18-19 thousand(state).
You have a good chance of getting CSE branch.
