i got 138/240 in my manipal enterance test this year (2021) will i get aeronautical engineering?

Virat Srivastava 18th Jun, 2021

Dear candidate, the institute never revealed the cutoff marks for admission. A cutoff rank is told by college for different branches. In 2020, cutoff for aeronautical engineering in last round was 19266.

Competition changes each year due to several reasons like-

  • Number of students appearing in exam that year
  • Difficulty level of exam
  • Number of seats in college that year

However, a rough approximation can be taken by observing previous years cutoffs. 18000 rank can be considered as safe for aeronautical engineering at Manipal Institute of Technology, main campus. You can also check given link for more information:

Hope, it helps.

Dear aspirant,

Yes, you are eligible to study M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering at IIT college after completing B.E. in Aeronautical Engineering in private college. The only condition is that you must have a given GATE exam and have a valid GATE score. IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur are some of the IITs that provide admission to M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering.

IIT Bombay provides admission on a direct mode basis without taking written tests and interviews for the Teaching Assistantship category while other IITs conducts written tests and personal interviews for selecting the candidates for the M.Tech program in Aerospace Engineering.

Can I get a seat for aeronautical engineering in Manipal University with a score of 152/240 in MET 2021.... and what could be my rank approximately? Thank you

Niranjana 15th Jun, 2021

Hello ,

Congrats !You can surely get a seat in the main campus.

An estimated rank vs mark analysis

marks                          rank

200+                             300

185+                              700

170+                            1400

160+                            2400

150+                            4400

140+                             7000

120+                            10.5K

110+                             16K

100+                              22K

Accordingly your rank will be <4400.For AE the previous year cutoff was almost 16k-22K.And obviously you can get AE in the main campus.

i have scored 121/240 in Manipal entrance exam. Can i get admission in aeronautical engineering in main campus??

Sharon Rose Student Expert 15th Jun, 2021

Hello,

Your rank is estimated to be in between 8000-15000. The actual rank may vary because the marks vs rank trend changes every year. Last year MET was conducted for 800 marks and this year it is conducted for 240 marks so the marks vs rank trend will vary. The previous year cut off for admission to Aeronautical Engineering in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal was 16260  in round 3 of counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you have decent chances of getting seat in Aeronautical Engineering in the preferred campus.

Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off click on the link below
