Bachelor of Science in Forestry is a four-year undergraduate program that is divided into eight equal semesters. It provides students with the knowledge and training about Forestry. Forestry program trains students in the managing of forests, new plantation, maintaining old plantations and other natural resources.
A lot of career opportunities is available in this field. The career opportunities are available in public as well as in private sector. The public sector jobs includes work in zoological parks, wildlife ranges, corporate having their own plantations for timbering and wildlife research institutes.Those holding bachelors degree in forestry can apply for the Central government through the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. You can also apply in the colleges for the post of lecturer. Depending upon experience and qualification, you can earn an annual salary of around Rs. 5 to 6 lacs in India.The scope is vast.

The basic criteria for eligibility into this course is the minimum qualification which is needed in order to apply for Bachelor of Science i.e. B.Sc. in Agriculture is 50-60% which may vary depending on the institutes in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. Admission tests are also conducted in some colleges.
Yes you are having opportunity to get into Agricultural bsc but it depends on the vacancies available in the colleges as you proceed to your counselling sessions.

Yes , you can do M.Sc agriculture after completing your graduation with B.Sc Horticulture.Also you can go for the advanced level studies in the same field. You can also choose any specialisation . Once you finish this course you can gk for applied research ( PhD) or MBA.
