My daughter has scored 214 in BSc Ag , her category is general ,Is there any possibility to get a paid seat in main campus or else in 2nd ca

Souvik Choudhury 25th Jun, 2019

Dear Sir/madam,

The general trend and considering the question paper it is predicted that the cut off for this year will be 205-210 for general category. So considering the marks 214 it is highly likely that you daughter would make it to RGSC(if you are trying for it) B.sc ag. If not the first campus BHU you can definitely try for mirzapur campus.

All the best

For BHU UET;(Cutoff) Course: B.sc.Ag. Group : Bio Category: General Marks: 172 Rank: 2919

Parjanya Pavan 22nd Jun, 2019

Hello Priyanshu

As per the details given by you ( marks-172, rank-2919) It's hard to say that you will get seat in BHU agri. At least you need to score more than 200 for general category. Last year the seat were alloted on 240+ marks. And for counselling students till rank 500 were called in general category. Even this will not be right to say that you may get a paid seat or a seat in south campus, Mirzapur. Also there is negeligble chance of second round counselling as all seats are filled in 1st round.

bsc ag from private or gov college which is best and if not gov then what to choose?

Karvannan sevugamurthi 25th Jun, 2019

Hi Muskan

Both are good if you consider only degree. If you want to get more exposure in your field, you have to select government agricultural universities. Because they will have more laboratories and facilities than others. Then there fee will be lower. So try to enter in agricultural universities.

All the best.

for an medical student bsc ag is good or not it worth in future or not?

Ns Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Hiii Muskan..

One can have Bright Career prospects in this field. The demand for trained professionals in the field of agriculture is high. The course fee is negligible, barely Rs. 5,000 per year. Scholarships are also available. A student who has completed a BSc in Agriculture will get a well-paying job right after graduation.

There are plenty of government as well as private sector jobs available for BSc Agriculture graduates. They can be appointed as Research Officer, Quality Assurance Officer, Agriculture Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer (in Banks), Production Manager, Operations Manager and Farm Manager with State agriculture departments.

You can also pursue your masters and later phd where you can also have a teaching job or work in the research field.

Hope it helps.

Best of luck for your future.

choosing bsc ag from gov university is good or not?

nimrat17799_9532496 Student Expert 22nd Jun, 2019

Hello,

Usually government college teachers are good, given that they are selected through rigorous procedure. But not all colleges have same level of teaching, some are really bad! To start with, the choice between honors and bsc programe will make a difference if you have inclination towards one of the science subjects in particular.

You can join to any of them as long as you are not worried about admission fees.

Govt college lecturers are chosen through a series of tests, which are really tough to crack unless they are good at their subjects. After these tests they are given training on how to teach/express the knowledge in best way.

I hope this would help you. For further queries please feel free to write me down in the comment box.
