Yes, all the IITs, NIT's, are duly approved by AICTE. All the IITs and NITs are government colleges so its approved by AICTE. They are as well as UGC approved.

According to the rule, for teaching technical UG,PG courses, every college need AICTE approvals. Even though there are university colleges, which run the courses without AICTE approval.
The main problem comes when we go for a government job or higher studies as the officials who are processing our request will be checking that our college is AICTE approved or not and due to having no AICTE approvals our request may get denied status provided by the officials.
