hello sir.. I have registered in all India counselling neet but not alloted any college in first round. what to do to participate in 2nd round?

S. Saha Student Expert 8th Nov, 2020
If you haven't got any seat in First round of counselling you can surely go for the second round. After the declaration of first roound results, the second round starts after few days. You can directly participate in the second round of the counselling. For that you have to go for upgradation or you can go for upliftment. Th authorities will publish seat matrix of vacant seats and accoridng to that you can re arrange or re shuffle your choices if you wish to. And in second round if you are allotted to a college and if you wish to join you can lock your college. Greetings respected sir/mam I have applied for NEET UG 2020 all India counselling but I was not allotted a seat and so I wish to free exit. kindly guide me with the free exit procedure and how to claim the security deposit. please reply at the earliest.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Nov, 2020

Tanuja, The process Free exit is if you are allotted a seat. It means when a Candidate has been allotted a seat and even if the Candidate does not report/join the allotted college he/she would not be penalised and will be eligible for subsequent round. So there is no process per se. You don't have to report to the allotted College. And that will be considered as a free exit. But if you haven't been allotted a seat in Round 1 and do not further wish to continue with further rounds, you simply do not have to participate in Round 2 and mop up rounds. Your security deposit will be refunded after all the rounds of counselling are done.

Siddhi Shenoy 7th Nov, 2020

Hello Lohith,

If you were given a seat in the second round and you were not interested you can use the free exit option. The security fee is refundable and you will get it back in the same bank account through which you had made the payment. The money will be deposited back in your bank account once second round is over. However, if you have opted for "Exit with forfeiture" option, then you will not receive back the money.

I didnt get any college in 1st round of all India counselling. Will I have to register again for 2nd round? Will I have to fill my choices again?

Swarnabha Das 6th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant

First of all I am explaining you in short the rule of choice  filling.During choice filling you can put any no of choices there and sort them according to your facvourable interest . In every round you will be allotted only one department of one college . According to your sorted choice list the top most available choice with vacant seats will be given to you . If you are happy with that then you lock that and get admission . Otherwise you upgrade( slide or float) If any of the preceding choice's  seat  becomes vacant then you will get than otherwise you get the allotted seat given to you from the previous round. But under any circumstances you can't get the receding choices after you are allotted a particular option. That's how it works. So choice filling and seat allotment is very vital.

So if you don't get anything new ollege or department in round 2 then you will get the seat of round 1.

So you don't have to either register again or fill up choices again.

Best Wishes.

DrTeeth 5th Nov, 2020

The registration fees for all india counselling and state counselling is different.

All india counselling (conducted by MCC) charges a candidate a total of Rs 11,000; 1000 of which is the counselling fees and Rs 10000 is the security deposit (partly refundable)

The state counselling fees may vary from state to state but is usually less than Rs 5000

is NMC Bill effect in this year all india counselling Thats MCC

Prashant Kumar Pandey 5th Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant !

The NMC(National Medical Commission) bill ensured the dissolution of the 87 year old MCI and the establishment of NMC. And it has no immediate effect on NEET 2020 counseling.

The only change that would occur is that ablut 40-50% of MBBS seats in the private colleges will be taken over by the NMC, i.e the fees of those setas will be imposed by the NMC. This will make studying MBBS easier for the borderline rank-holders who lost a seat due to five or ten marks difference from the cutoff. Overally, there will be no more change. And this chenge may not be enforced this year, it would take subsequent years for the bill to take action.

Hope this answer helps you:)
