Can you please tell me the process of getting admission in private mbbs /bds college... Is there is all india counselling for private colleges.. And if not then please explain the procedure..

Shefadaar 1st Oct, 2020

Hello Candidate,

All the seats, be it Government, Private or Deemed University is filled under 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 85% State Quota.

What I understood from your query is that, you are willing to take admission into a Private Medical College. Go through this article to know the list of Private Medical Colleges offering MBBS through NEET score.

https://medicine.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-private-medical-colleges-in-india-accepting-neet

Once the NEET 2020 results are declared, you need to follow these steps to get admission into the college of your choice.

Step 1:- Register yourself on the official website for AIQ Counselling or the respective state's counselling where you want your admission to be done.

Step 2:- Choose from the list of colleges, the college you are interested in, when the choice filling window is open.

Step 3:- Round 1 results will be declared, and college will be alloted to you based on your NEET score and the choices filled by you.

Step 4:- If you don't get the college of your choice, repeat step 2 in the subsequent rounds (Round 2 and Mop up round).

That is the whole process of counselling. For more information on the expected colleges you can get on the basis of your NEET score, use this college predictor tool.

Sohamsengupta8 28th Sep, 2020

Hello student,

Sorry to say you but this is actually very low marks for neet examination. And with this marks your rank can be over 1.2lakhs.

In this rank it is not possible to get any government medical college although you have SC quota also. You can get a private medical college. However you can predict your college through the link below and also can predict your rank from the link below

I have scored 215 marks in NEET 2020, plz suggest best private medical college through all India counselling in general category in any states.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Sep, 2020

Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling. For seats in Private Medical Colleges, you have to participate in State Counselling. Having said that, there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. With a score of 215, it is difficult for a seat under this Category. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and even here 215 has almost no chance because you belong to General Category. And the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly provided the Candidate has registered for the respective State Counselling and has not been able to secure a seat in the Counselling. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs and this is where you might have a shot at. States like HP, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, etc allow other State Candidates to participate in their Management Quota Seats Counselling.  The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

what is the chances of admission MBBS in private college of UP in gen category in All India counselling with the NEET score 215

Rishita hari 22nd Sep, 2020

Dear student,

NEET is one of the toughest all India entrance exam where many students from different country appear. So, scoring as not expected may happen, just don't get disheartened. It is true that it will be quite difficult for you to get into an government medical college as the cut off for that is very high.

From previous years cut offs and NEET scores only i can tell you that the minimum score for Government Medical College was about 469 for general category. https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up you can go through this link to know about this year's cutoff in Uttarpradesh as cut offs change every year. So, here are some suggestions that the  private colleges you can get are

1. Teerthankar Mahaveer Medical College and Research Center, Moradabad

2. TS Mishra Medical College and Hospital, Lucknow

3. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, Meerut

Still you can go through this link for other college suggestions https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor

Just a suggestion, at this rank you can get a low esteemed medical college with poor acdemics but if you consider of pursuing BDS rather there are many prestigious private dental colleges in UP where you can get a seat. https://medicine.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-bds-colleges-in-uttar-pradesh just in case if you need it.

if i get a seat in all india counselling and i get admission that is i lock that seat then will i be eligible for state quota counselling?

Sanjana Singh 21st Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you are doing well!

Yes,dear you can apply both for state counselling and All india counselling, but you have to select a college fast because then you will have to submit all your orginal documents at the time of counselling they give you forms for filling details considering you will be taking admission there, also you will  be charged fees accordingly,so its better to select a college and attend its counselling, than to try catching both the rabbits.

Hope this was helpful!

All the best!

sir my Marks is 655.should I go for all India counselling or uttar Pradesh counselling where lucknow is my hometown. which top college I could get

vishesh kumar 18th Sep, 2020

Hi,

I would like to share my opinion in this query. First of all 655 is really a get score. Now coming to your query, So I would like to suggest you that you should go for AIQ counselling where you can get any of the top colleges according to your rank. Still if you are not satisfied with your college, then go for the further rounds and here you will definitely get a good college. However, UP also have some top government colleges such as King George, BHU, which you can easily get through the state counselling with this score. So it totally depends on your choice.

If a student is alloted Management Quota Medical Seat through All India Counselling by MCC is the fees lesser than what another student who takes a Management Quota seat directly through college ?

anirudha vats 17th Sep, 2020

Hey,

The seat allocation through All India Counselling is a transparent process. Therefore every thing including the fees is fixed and visible to students at the time of counselling. As far as direct admission is involved, you can't say much because there is no body to govern the procedure. They might can charge you high.

So if you are getting a seat from ALL India Counselling, I will suggest you to go for it without a doubt. As more transparent procedure less discrepancies.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.
