Is anatomy and morphology of frog and earthworm there in neet 2020 syllabus or not?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 9th Jun, 2020

Hi aspirant

No, frog and earthworm are not included in NEET syllabus of biology, in your NEET syllabus there is only brief account on the digestive, circulatory, respiratory, nervous and reproductive for cockroach only.

But it has been seen that many times questions in NEET have been asked from earthworm and frog, for example in NEET 2017 questions were asked from frog.

So it's better if you study , frog and earthworm as well for your neet examination.

Thank you

Am i eligible to do Msc. Medical Anatomy under Manipal university, after BDS graduation?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Jun, 2020

To be able to study M.Sc Medical Anatomy, you should have studied Anatomy as a subject in your Undergraduation. Now because Anatomy is a subject in BDS, you are eligible for studying M.Sc Medical Anatomy not alone from Manipal University but also from any University that offers this course. According to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the official website: https://manipal.edu/content/dam/manipal/mu/documents/Admissions/adm2020/2020%20Post%20Graduate%20(PG)%20Programs%20Eligibility%20&%20Admission%20Process.pdf you should have completed your B.Sc/B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Allied Health Sciences/BAMS/MBBS/BHMS/BPT/B.Pharmacy/BDS from a recognised University with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Admisison is based on merit scored in the qualifying examination.

actually i am doing physiotherapy in studies & i want to know about a course about phd in anatomy in dance and body movement or any related course of dancing with physiotherapy ???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 14th May, 2020
Abhi, there is a Ph.D in Gait Analysis that you can try. Because your body movements come under Gait section including dance. So if you want to know the Anatomy of bodily movements like dance, the closes would be Gait Analysis. As you are currently studying Bachelors in Physiotherapy, you need to take up Masters in Anatomy which is available in India. But we doubt if Ph.D in Gait Analysis is available in India. So for this you may have to opt for countries like UK or Australia.

can i choose M.Sc medical anatomy after completing B.Sc biotechnology?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Apr, 2020

To be eligible to study M.Sc Medical Anatomy, you should have completed your Graduation with Anatomy as one of the subjects. For example, courses like MBBS, BDS, BOT, BAMS, BHMS, B.V.Sc BOT, etc have Anatomy as one of the subjects in their syllabus and so Candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in any of these courses, are eligible for studying M.Sc Medical Anatomy. But with a Bachelor's degree Biotechnology, unfortunately you do not qualify.

I am a 1st yr mbbs student. I want to know which are the best rated MCQ books for 1.) Anatomy 2.) Physiology 3.) Biochemistry please do reply :-)

Srijika Bhattacharyya 18th Feb, 2020
Hello,
The best mcq books for neet pg are:
Anatomy- Rajesh kaushal/raviraj
Physiology- Krishna Kumar( CRISP)
Biochemistry- Rebecca james
Make sure you have read the standard books like BD Chaurasia/Vishram Singh for anatomy, GK Pal/ AK Jain for physiology and Satyanarayan/Vasudevan for biochemistry before attempting to read mcq books.
You can also read certain topics you do not understand from the standard reference books like Grey's anatomy, Guyton/Ganong and Harper/Lippincott.
I would suggest read the textbook first then read the mcq books and solve questions.
Hope this helps.
All the best

can i do msc anatomy after bsc microbiology

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 11th Feb, 2020

Ideally to study a subject in your Master's you should have studied that subject in your Bachelor's degree. But B.Sc Microbiology doesn't have Anatomy as a subject and so unfortunately you cannot study your PG in Anatomy with a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology.
