I want to become a lecturer of human anatomy and biotechnology but what are the courses after 12th to go after this degree. Can anyone suggest?

Prachi Pant 8th Jan, 2021

Hello student,

As per UGC norms you have to meet certain eligibility criteria if you want to become a lecturer in any of the educational field.

The eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed masters in the subject they wish to pursue the teaching role with the minimum of 55% marks. In your case, you have to choose the subject human anatomy or biotechnology in your higher studies.

After your class 12th, you have to opt for bachelors in science in the subject relevant to your mentioned subjects or same.

If you want to apply for the assistant professor's post then along with the above mentioned eligibility criteria, a candidate must possess the SET/SLET, NET certificates.

Thank you!

Hi Dear,

I'll recommend you to go for ‘Gray’s Anatomy for Students 3rd Edition’, published by Elsevier Churchill Livingstone. The book has a very clear and colorful format and simplifies each and every topic for students making it really easy to understand. The book is clinically-oriented and student-friendly and is one of the bestselling books and will help you to clear all concepts.

between grays anatomy and BD churasia which one should I keep in pdf form in mobile and which one should I buy ???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 23rd Dec, 2020

Gray's anatomy is one of the best books in Anatomy by so far. But it is expensive. The diagrams, illustrations and quality of paper cannot be missed. If you are fine with buying an expensive book, then you should go the hard copy of Gray's Anatomy and then go for soft copy of Chaurasia. This is because Chaurasia's Anatomy has simple usage of English and if you want to refer something immediately, Chaurasia will be helpful more than Gray's anatomy. Its easily understood. Gray's Anatomy has complex structure of English and you will need time to understand each sentence and so Gray's should be a hard copy.

in comparison to bdc general anatomy and vishram singh which is more better ?

rajeevanand843 13th Dec, 2020

Dear aspirant

Both the books are of almost same level and contents are also same. Also both are very easy to understand. Main difference between both the books is that in BDC topic are explained in theory and paragraph manner and same thing in vishram singh in explained in point wise manner. Vishram singh is more exam based book in compares to BDC.

So from my suggestion before buying any medical books if you are confused then go to your college library issue the author you want then study for 2-3 day from both and then compare it. Once you get confirmation that which book is suitable for you can buy that book. Also you can always issue any authors book from college library so make use of that. Most of medical college students prefer books from the library and use it.

Hope this information helps you

All the best
