I am Veerashaiva lingayath from Andhra Pradesh. to which category I have to apply for job related exams (especially for banks). is it OBC or GENERAL cateogory ?

rjain249403 18th Feb, 2022

Hi Bindu, so as per the media research, it's upto the state government within every state that decides the categorisation of different castes and subcasts. So, the Veerashaivas which belong to the ancient times Shaivas, in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Goa and even Karnataka and Telangana according to some researches, say that these states come under the Central OBC list. But again, these lists are revised every year or more within and by the state governments.

So for now, as per my set of information collected, you could apply for a job within OBC quota as well without hesitation.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. All the best for your future endeavours.

Iam belong to telengana getting 401 marks in neet so did there getting mbbs seat in Andhra Pradesh equal to ap students .lam belong st catagory

Sree Student Expert 16th Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

As you are Telangana student, you'll be considered as Non-Local in Andhra Pradesh and you cannot get chances equal to AP students as they are Local students and they have benefit of nativity.

Based on previous year's cut-offs, it is difficult to get Government seat in Andhra Pradesh, for your NEET UG score. So you can try for Management quota seats in Private Colleges. You have chances of getting seat in below mentioned Private Medical Colleges in management quota seat.

Gayatri Vidya Parishad Institute of Health Care and Medical Technology, Visakhapatnam

Viswabharathi Medical College and General Hospital, Kurnool

NRI Institute of Medical Sciences, Sangivalasa

To check previous year's cut-offs of Andhra Pradesh go through below mentioned link.

You can predict Colleges you can get for your NEET UG score based on previous year's cut-offs.

I secured 316 marks in neet 2021 and I belong to SC category in andhra pradesh is there any chance for me to get seat into bams

Piyush 16th Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, i would like to tell you that with the above marks scored by you in NEET 2021, Your Overall Percentile is: 80.36 - 80.36 and Your Predicted Rank is: 301104 - 371254 . So, with the above predicted rank, your chances to get seat into bams is very difficult even if you belong to Sc category. The cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students. The cutoff depends on several factors like : Difficulty level of the paper, number of aspirant appearing for examination, previous year cutoff trends etc.

However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends, you need to score at leat a minimum marks of 350 in NEET 2021 to get seat in BAMS.

Further, for more information check the cutoff article below by following the below mentioned link :

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/admission-ayush-courses-through-neet

You can also check the NEET college predictor tool to get more info about your admission chances in other colleges based on your NEET rank and percentile score : https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp

I Hope that this will help.

i scored 407 marks in neet can i get seat in karnataka in private colleges by councelling.i belong to Andhra pradesh

Anurag Khanna 24th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be concluded and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.

So according to the data, on such marks you have some chances of getting private seat in some Private medical colleges in Karnataka under state quota according to previous year's cut-off.

As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you have chances in following colleges :-

Khwaja Bande Nawaz Institute Of Medical Sciences, Gulbarga

Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellur, Mandya Dist.

SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

NEET 2021 Cutoff Karnataka (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017): College-wise & Category-wise (careers360.com)

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-
