The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. In Anna University, Chennai, the opening marks for CSE brach was 183 and the closing marks was 200 in TNEA. For ECE Branch, the opening marks was 192.75 and a closing marks of 200. For EEE branch, the opening and closing marks were 189.5 and 199.67 respectively.

The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. In Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar (SSN) College of Engineering in Kalavakkam, the opening marks for CSE brach was 166 and the closing marks was 199 in TNEA previous few years. In College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), the closing rank was 92 in the year 2018 and 87 in 2019 for CSE Branch.

You haven't mentioned if you are enquiring about UG or PG course. We consider that you are an Engineering aspirant in class 12th so you should be seeking admission to B.E/B.Tech. The admission to Engineering in Anna University and its affiliated colleges is done through TNEA counselling window. There are 539 government and constituent colleges, universities, self-financing engineering colleges under Anna University. You have to apply for TNEA admission, based on your marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry merit list will be prepared and published. The eligible applicants need to apply for TNEA counselling and select the colleges and branches in which they are interested to get admission. This step is called online choice filling where you give preferences of the college and branch. Based on category, marks, preferences and seat availability a seat will be allotted to the candidate. If he/she is willing to accept the seat can do so by reporting in the allotted college, pay the fee and submit the documents. There is no need to apply separately for each college, you can choose as many colleges and branches you want but select only if you are interested in that particular college and branch.

Being from Madhya Pradesh also, you can appear for the TNEA Counselling process. But, the eligibility condition for other states mentions that candidates need to have 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board for the TNEA Admission process.

According to the 2021 statistics provided by the official website of Anna University, the placement package details are as given below
The highest package offered was 6.57 LPA
The average salary package offered was 4.71 LPA
And the median package offered was 5.7 LPA
Top recruiters include J K Tyres, Ashok Leyland, Wipro, Mahindra and Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki etc to name a few.

As you are native is Tamil Nadu and you have a proof you are eligible for TENA counselling as the eligibility criteria states that the candidate who are natives of Tamil Nadu but have passed their class 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th from outside Tamil Nadu will also be eligible for TENA counselling. There is no age limit. However, marine engineering candidates whose age is older than 25 years are not eligible to apply. The authorities will release the application form of TNEA 2021 in online mode. The dates for the release of the TENA application form is not yet released by the officials. Candidates must have completed class 8, 9, 10 11 and 12 from Tamil Nadu
