Admission to the BE and BTech programme is done through TNEA counselling.

The basic eligibility is 10+2 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

CEG Guindy Cutoff 2020 will be announced by College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University on its official website. It is yet to come.

The cut offs were as follows in the previous year i.e. 2019-

BE Computer Science and Engineering at 77, BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering (115) and BE in Electrical and Electronics Engineering cutoff (587). The courses with lowest CEG Guindy cutoffs 2019 include BE in Material Science and Engineering (5920 cutoff), BE in Industrial Engineering(5155 cutoff) and BE in Mining Engineering (3713 cut off).

Anna University is among the top Engineering colleges of India and has good rankings and ratings. The course is totally backed up by renowned faculties and the course curriculum includes topics such as Engineering Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Graphics, Computer Techniques, Fabric Formation, Textile Technology, Spinning Process, Pattern Engineering, Fabric Analysis, Fashion Design Laboratory, Denim Manufacturing, Knitwear designs, Values and Ethics in Engineering, Intimate Apparels and many more.

However the placements are average and Apparel Technologists are mostly recruited by IT Companies such as HCL Technologies, Microchip Pvt. LTD. etc. Other Companies such as Zoomrx, Myntra, SRF, Fabric Sourcing, L&T, Reliance, EcoTech, Jockey India, Madura Garments etc also recruit B.Tech Apparel Technology graduates with around 2 to 2.5 lpa package.

Both the options are better. highest salary package offered to CEG campus is 17 lpa and for Kumraguru College of technology is 28 lpa. for current financial year, highest package received by the campus is 20lpa.

On the terms of branch, ECE will be the better option than Manufacturing engineering. ECE is trending domain which has high contribution into Automation, embedded system and IoT projects.

The ranking is similar but they have to produce the original nativity certificate in electronic form at TFC during the time of document verification.

Admission into Anna University affiliated colleges may be difficult with your cut-off. If you have written entrance exams for deemed universities like SRM and VIT, there's a higher chance for admission into them.

However, you can wait till the online counseling for TNEA starts and the rank list is generated and then see what your college options are.

Upon this you will be assigned a Random number. This Random number is used at Document Verification centres for Offline document verification. Hello student. 190 cut off is a pretty good mark. And yes, ypu can get into anna university. No only that, with this mark, ypu have the chances to get the desired branch.
