i had joined the nss in 11th and 12th , will i get any benefit from it on my college applications to institues like iits , nits or pec etc

Sharon Rose Student Expert 23rd Mar, 2022

Hello,

No, there is no benefit as such for admission in to IITs, NITs or PEC if you have joined in National Service Scheme as the admission is purely based on the entrance examination. However, you can get the benefit of NSS at the time of recruitment during campus placements, you can mention your participation in NSS activities under extra curricular activities. It will be an added advantage provided you must have decent academic performance, soft skills etc.

If im preparing for neet 2022 should I write other exams like MAHE , JEE,NMC,COMEDK, as some of these applications registration going on im confused.

ayanmukherjee045 18th Mar, 2022

Dear aspirant,

I would request you that kindly be very clear on what you want to achieve because you cannot be doctor and engineer at the same time. So, if you have a liking for medical then I would say kindly focus on medical.

And if you want to go for engineering stream then i would say to leave neet. It is very rare that students clear neet and jee on a very good note. Clearing of cut off doesn't mean he/she will get a college.
