My percentile in jee paper 2 (arch) is 85 ,can l get NIT colleges in karnataka for architect colleges?

abdullah ahmed Student Expert 28th May, 2019

Hi Karthik,

According to your percentile, your rank would be around 20000 which is not bad but not good enough to get any NIT or SPA.

You need to have a rank of under 1500 for the general category under 3000 for SPA's.

You need to have a percentile above 95 to stand a chance in any NIT.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!

Im a 2nd Year B.Arch student. I need help to make my portfolio for internships. Can you suggest some apps which i can use to make it?

Vishnupriya 28th Jul, 2019

Hi Namita,

A good portfolio makes the perfect impression with the employer. Instead of making it in already made templates through apps and websites, you can go for some graphic designing works where you can a portray your portfolio in a more a creative way and that would be very impressive for job profiles. Look for freelance graphic artists who can help you.

Im a 2nd Year B.Arch student. I need help to make my portfolio for a good internship. How do make an appreciable portfolio?

abhikshaw100_9176398 Student Expert 24th May, 2019

Hey Namita,

Making a portfolio is never an easy job. I would help you with some important points.

  • First of your skills should be effectively potrayed.
  • Your graduation marks are always important but not more than your ability, your motivation, your knowledge, and your zeal to work in this profession.
  • Your portfolio must be effectively presented in a systematic manner which is informative and at the same time attractive.
  • Try to make your portfolio not short but also not a lengthy one. It should contain the important and best projects you have worked on.
  • You should make different portfolios, some may be accepted while some may be rejected.
  • CV should have relevant informations.Personal details including id proofs, address, status should be present.
  • Drawings should be included but to a certain extent.
  • The cover letter should contain your skills and abilities, why you are interested, what draws you, your information about this project, etc. It should be brief.

Hopefully the points should help you to figure out your portfolio.

Best of luck for your career ahead.

With JEE papers score, it is difficult to get admission in good colleges, but if you have a good score, you can definately get into good colleges. Since, your board percentage is enough, there's a possibility that you get a good merit rank.

How i admission in b. Arch after architect diploma

Namita Karnik 25th May, 2019
If you qualify NATA, the process is same as that for the 12th pass students. Just, instead of your 12th marksheet, you have to attach your Diploma final year marksheet.

This process is same for private and government colleges.

Dear Tanmay

The Post Graduate Program for Executives offered by IIM requires

5 years professional full time job experience altleast

10+2+3 which is Bachelor degree from any recognized college

And a valid Gmat score.

You have a good percentage in B.tech but average in class 12th and as you haven't provided any GMAT score I cant be fully sure but if you score above 90 percentile in gmat I am sure you can get IIM. I hope it helped

What are good chances in architect future

Namita Karnik 28th May, 2019
Definately there are good chances of an architect in the future.
Initially when you're working, you salary would be something under 10k, but as you gain experience, it will keep increasing.
On the other hand, if you open your firm, you will have an ocean of opportunities in front of you.
But then at the same time, there's a lot of hard work involved, while studying as well as while working.
The more efforts you put in, the greater are the chances for you to have a brighter future!
But if you fear of the hardwork,  this field is not made of you! Otherwise there's a shining future lying ahead of it!

Best of luck!
