Dear candidate,
According to the eligibility criterions from the past years, to explain in a well understandable manner, if you have myopia the limitations are -0.75 and for hypermetropia it's +1.5 i.e it should not be more than 2.5D and 3.5D respectively, including disorders like astigmatism. Thus, with the better eye, in a distant chart he/she should have 6/6 and 6/9 with or without glasses in the worse eye. Besides he/she should pass the colour vision Ishihara test i.e, should be able to distinguish between the green and red colours and any kind of laser surgeries or Radial Keratotomies done for improving the visual standards will lead to permanent rejection.

Thank you.
Dear aspirant,
For UP, the state holds 1% of the seats so, yes there is provision for defence but no such thing is provided under All-India-Quota. Reservation under this is only provided by the State and for that either of your parents should be either in Airforce, Navy, Army or they should have had served for at least 10 years in their respective fields.
Hope this helped.
Hello Aspirant,
Happy to see your interest in this field.
The Government of India has a rule that only a fixed percentage of the population can join the Army from a state . This is the only Central service in which reservation is based on population. Instead, it should be according to merit.
By this all candidates from all states have chance to apply for the army.
Hope this was helpful to you.
Jai hind.
the university had clearly mentioned earlier that students who cleared XI and XII from Punjab and were domiciles were eligible for 85% quota and others would be accommodated in the remaining 15% seats.
So this is all about state quota.
Hope this helps you.
All the best for your future.
Army college of Medical sciences is among the top medical colleges of India. It has been ranked at 29th position by NIRF among Medical colleges of India. Being a well reputed medical college, the cutoffs are quite higher. According to the last year's cutoffs, under army category the last rank to get admission there was around 20000 All India rank. Now with around 37000 rank, the chances are quite low. But keep in mind that these are based on last year's data and this year the cutoffs can change.
