I got 83 %ile in mht cet pcm which best collge I will get in mumbai for computer engineering caste obc

OISHEE BANERJEE 17th Jul, 2025

With 83 percentile in MHT CET PCM and OBC category, getting top colleges like VJTI, SPIT, DJ Sanghvi, or COEP is not possible for Computer Engineering, as they usually close above 95–99 percentile.

You have better chances in mid to lower-tier colleges in Mumbai and nearby areas. Some colleges where you might get Computer Engineering include:

– Universal College of Engineering, Palghar
– Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institute of Technology, Panvel
– Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Chembur (in later rounds)
– St. John College of Engineering, Palghar
– Aldel Education Trust's St. John Technical Campus, Palghar

These colleges usually have OBC closing percentiles ranging from 75 to 85 or even lower in the later CAP rounds.

Im currently in 12 grade, and I wanna pursue B.A in political science in DU. But I wanna know that whether giving my cuet exam in Science domain subjects is it possible to get BA in du? Im currently a student of pcb and wanna give cuet in same subjects to get a arts degree course,so is it possible?

Taabia Fathima 8th Jul, 2025

You're eligible for B.A Political Science at DU but not by choosing ONLY science subjects in CUET.

Here's what you should do:

For CUET there are upto 5 subjects you can choose

1. Language (Mandatory)

2.Two domain- relevant subjects such as political science+ history/sociology/geography (Mandatory)

3.Remaining two subjects are totally optional they can be:The General test(GK,Logical Reasoning etc)and any other subject even from science domain but it won't help with the eligbility for BA.Political Science

Remember:Only your Language and Two arts subjects count for eligibility

Pradeepa P 4th Jul, 2025

Yes, with 57 percent in your 10th class and belonging to the OBC category , you are eligible for admission to the BA Arts stream at Kelkar College. In the 2025 merit lists, Kelkar College’s OBC cutoff for FYBA (Arts) was approximately 43.5 percent , which means you exceed that requirement comfortably.

Deepthi Pradeep 29th Aug, 2025

Admission for BA (Arts) usually begins right after Class 12 results are out—commonly between May and July depending on the state or college. Top government colleges like Miranda House, Hindu College, or DU-affiliated colleges typically open forms by July and start classes by August–September . BA course fees vary widely: in government institutions it may be as low as rs 2,000–20,000 for the full course, while private institutions can range from rs 50,000 to over rs 2 lakh per year depending on amenities and strength. im studying in 12th,arts student without math, right now, and want to take bba in college, so please tell me which colleges offer bba degree without math, in kolkata.

OISHEE BANERJEE 1st Jul, 2025

You can definitely pursue a BBA in Kolkata without having studied maths in Class 12. Many colleges accept students from arts or commerce backgrounds without maths as a mandatory subject. Some well-known options include JD Birla Institute, Bhawanipur Education Society College, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM), UEM Kolkata, and Swami Vivekananda Institute of Modern Science.

These colleges usually require a minimum of 50%–60% in your 12th board exams and conduct direct admissions or merit-based selections. Just check each college’s specific eligibility criteria during their application period, but overall, you have plenty of good choices in Kolkata even without maths.
