Jee main Feb 21 AIR518167 B. Tech admission if possible in govt college Assam

Soumili Majumdar 16th Mar, 2021
Hello there,
According to the previous year data, you have very low chances of getting a seat in the government colleges of Assam. You should apply for state counseling. With this rank, you may not get CSE or other top branches in the colleges. Also note that the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.

For more information about the same, you can check the link given below:

You can use our college predictor to predict the best college for you:

Anurag Khanna 14th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See the marks and corresponding percentile which you have mentioned is not matching because on 128 marks out of 300 marks in JEE-Main 2021 it is not possible to have such low percentile, this can only be possible in the case if the paper for that shift is very easy or more than very easy which was not really for February session. So you might have calculated wrong marks using the answer key or there is some error in your result so I would recommend you to reach out to NTA, inform them about your issue because if the situation that you have mentioned is true then on 128 marks a General girl can get seat in good colleges like IIITs.

If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is expected to be in the range of 95.79 - 97.57, you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

See if you are unable to produce OBC-NCL certificate then you will be considered under General category so you should go with general category.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

I got 92.3 percentile. i am general female from assam. can i get into nit silchar? or any other good nit?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 25th Mar, 2021

Hi

With 92.3 percentile

You are from Assam so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT Silchar

With this rank, you have very good chances for getting NIT silchar under home state quota being female candidate

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under home state quota  106106 was closing rank for female for general category in NIT  Silchar and it was for civil engineering

You can check the same and closing cutoff rank for other branches as well at

Im from Assam. A dropper. My 12th admit card has ROLL and NUMBER given separately. Which one should I give in JEE registration. All the students in my school have same ROLL but different NUMBER. please help me in this.

Anurag Khanna 29th Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

You have to give your roll number of class 12th in JEE-Main application form and if there is Roll mentioned on your marksheet of class 12th but also you have mentioned that it is same for all students so it won't work and then you have enter the same number on the place of Roll No. in JEE-Main 2021 application form which is written against 'Number' section in your marksheet. Also note that for February attempt Applications have been closed on January 23rd 2021 and now before March attempt applications will again be resumed so then you can fill your application form for JEE-Main 2021 You can apply for JEE-Main from the official portal of JEE-Main which is given below :-

A candidate will also have option to apply for one Session or more than one Session ( March /April /May 2021) together and pay exam fee accordingly. In other words, if a candidate wishes to apply only for one Session, he / she has to pay Examination Fee only for that Session during the current application period and will have opportunity to apply again for the April / May Sessions.

For complete details about JEE-Main 2021 Application form kindly check out the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/how-to-fill-jee-main-application-form

Some insights of JEE-Main 2021 :-

> To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate percentage criteria and also if you want to take admission into NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should pass in your class 12th. Because as per the latest announcement made by our Hon'ble Education minister Mr.Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank, the 75% criteria has been removed for upcoming year 2021-22.

> Also from this year according to New Education Policy the JEE-Main examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other regional languages such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

> In JEE-Main 2021 there will be total 90 question out of which you have to attempt only 75 (25 from each section) and there will be two sections for each subject, Section-A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs)(20 compulsory questions) and Section-B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value (10 numerical based questions out of which only 5 are compulsory to be attempted).

> In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B.

> All question will be of 4 marks and in MCQs there will be negative marking of (-1) on incorrect attempt.

This year JEE-Main is being conducted with slight changes in it's pattern and it's conduction and you can check out all the changes from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.

Im a dropper from Assam. In my admit card, their is ROLL and NUMBER given separately. But in JEE registration its written to give Roll No. What should I give?? Please help me.

Shrishty sahu 29th Jan, 2021
Dear student,
You need to give your roll number, and since in your case two different things are given i.e. roll and number, in such case you need to give your roll. Every student has a unique roll number and that is what us asked for the application form of jee mains.
