Criteria is that candidates must have passed Diploma in Engineering in any branch from a recognised College or University. Admission into B.Tech courses is based on entrance exam or merit obtained in qualifying exam. Entrance exams like TS ECET, AP ECET, UPSEE Lateral Entry Entrance exam, etc are considered by some Engineering Colleges.
So, you can do Diploma in Engineering in any branch. If you can get Diploma in Automobile Engineering then go for it or else go for Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and then take admission into B.Tech Lateral Entry i.e into 2nd year of Engineering.

Dear candidate, although the design principles applicable for Automobile industry and aviation industry somewhat resembles each other, so there is no such bound restrictions that being a Automobile industry student you cannot work in Aviation Industry. Yes, you can get into automobile engineering. The procedure is quite long. After completing the 12th class in the commerce stream, you have to go for a diploma in the automobile stream. Then after pursuing a diploma for 3 years, you can give the entrance exam named JET. After that, you can join college for a B-tech degree as a lateral entry in automobile engineering.

But other than this you can also pursue your ms degree in abroad by giving the entrances exams like ilets,GMAT, sat or any equivalent examinations.
