Mechanical engineers design power-producing machines , such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. Mechanical engineers design other machines inside buildings, such as elevators and escalators. Mechanical engineering is a blend of maths, science and computing . Mechanical engineers are responsible for building the world as we know it. From the smallest nanotechnology to society's largest constructions such as buildings, cars, and space stations, mechanical engineers are key in their design and development.
Daily tasks for automotive engineers include: Researching and producing vehicle components . Generating cost estimates and vehicle descriptions . Evaluating environmental and safety practices of certain projects .

Hello student,
There are various colleges that offer you admission in Automobile Engineering. This branch deals with the development, manufacturing, designing and innovating with regards to the automobile or vehicle industry. However, I strongly recommend you that do not opt for specialization courses in B.Tech itself as you tend to narrow down your future career options by doing so. I suggest you pursue mechanical engineering in B.Tech and then carry over to automobile engineering in Masters degree. This will ensure that you still have a wide range of career options ahead of you later in life.
I hope this helps, All the Best!
