The eligible trades for RRB JE:
Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Tools & Machining, Tools & Die Making, or B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a Recognized University/Institute.
Now if you have a Diploma and then you have done BTech then you can apply for RRB JE. But if you have done only BTech in Automobile Engineering and don't have diploma in it then you aren't eligible for the course.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
See all this three fields have good possibility in career. Now if you want to see the investment of time and money in any of this fields vs outcome then being an Pilot it has more investment and comparably the outcome is good. Now if you go for CSE from good colleges then the outcome you will get in terms of income will be comparable or higher compared to that of Pilot. Now Automobile Engineering may have good career prospects if you do it from a very well established colleges else the jobs will not be of that outcome. So as per my opinion to get into a field with moderate or lower investment with good packages then go for CSE. IF you have a passion for flying then go for Pilot but remember if you go for Civil Aviation then the investment is quite high. You can go for Automobile Engineering if you like to go but the salaries will be not of the level of CSE.

Hope you are doing good. As per rules, to be a graduate in engineering, you need a minimum of 180 credits. Therefore, you can choose to have more than 180 credits but a minimum of 180 is a must. In accordance with this rule, SRM Chennai and LPU both issues 180 total credits to a student irrespective of the engineering branch you belong to.
Also do note that in SRM, these credit system is flexible that is you can choose how many credits you want to keep in each semester.
Hope this helps.
I would suggest you to prefer pursuing Lateral/Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering rather than any domain specific stream like Automobile Engineering after Diploma in Mechanical. Mechanical Engineering as such has strong career scope and job prospects, with a general degree yoyll get opportunities to work across Energy, Power, Steel, Manufacturing and other sectors.
As you belong to ST category, you will easily get admission in NIT Warangal if you score above 80 percentile. you have to apply in other branches as there is no course of automobile engineering here.
You can also use this predictor . It will help you to find best colleges for you.
