are 90 marks very bad in jee mains if i am in obc category

Bellamkonda V S Rahul 27th Jun, 2022

Hello aspirant,

The JEE Mains is one of the most opted for entrance exam written every year. The number of candidates appearing for the exam is ever increasing and there are usually around 8-12 lakh candidates taking the test each year. The JEE Mains is the pathway to securing a seat in your dream college to get the best quality education in the field of engineering.
The JEE Mains is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency) and the question paper is prepared by one of the IITs (Indian Institute of Technology).
Coming to the question, it is hard to estimate the exact range of rank that you may get based on the information provided. There are multiple factors which can affect the rank of a candidate. Some of them are:
1. Difficulty of the paper.
2. Number of candidates appearing.
3. Category you belong to.
4. Age of the candidate.
5. Marks obtained in secondary examinations.
There may also be other factors that can determine the final rank.
Given that you say you look at scoring 90 in JEE, your rank might be above 110000 in the overall category. Your qualification for the JEE Advanced will also depend on the overall results of all the appearing candidates.
Good luck.

is vtu afflicted colleges are very bad or good

Tanya Gupta 5th Aug, 2022

Hello,

Almost all engineering colleges in Karnataka are affiliated to VTU, notable exceptions being University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka, PES University and Manipal Institute of Technology. It becomes more of a personal choice. Many students really like VTU while others hate it. Same goes with Autonomous affiliations.

However, if you are from an Autonomous college you'll be able to crack all types of competitive exams but it is difficult for VTU students to crack competitive exams. The fee structure is high for Autonomous colleges as compared to VTU colleges. VTU has a standard syllabus although it is tough. Job opportunities are better as a VTU Student.

I hope this helps,

All the best

ECE department Is good or bad decision with 138 cut-off..??

Sajal Trivedi 26th Jun, 2022

Dear Apsirant:

Consider your passion first, as well as your goals in life. Go for it if creating electronic devices is your passion.

Even if you choose ECE, I still advise you to learn a programming language. As an embedded engineer, you must have strong embedded C programming skills.

Learning a computer language helps you think more creatively.
