B.Arch
Hey Dhanashree!
You haven't mentioned your category and home state details and these are very important in determining whether you get admission to any institution or not as the cutoffs are different for different category students. So, I would answer your query in a general way.
As you know, National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of JEE Main 2020 Paper 2.
Now, to calculate your expected rank for B.Arch based on the percentile score that you have secured, you can use this formula:
(100 - your total percentile score) is the percentage of people ahead of you. Also, 112679 were the number of candidates who appeared for January exam.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.
According to your query, your expected rank comes out to be around:- 6422. Now that is a rank where you may get admission to some NITs(probably if the home state and gender criterion fall into place) and many other government institutions. Some of the NITs where you may secure admission are:-
• NIT HAMIRPUR
• NIT PATNA
• NIT RAIPUR
These are based on the previous year's cutoffs of these colleges as predicting the cutoff for this year is very difficult. If you want to know more about previous years' cutoffs of NITs, you can visit this link

Hello Bannu Dheeraj,
It can done by using the college predictor which link has been given below and also you have a good percentile to get good college ,you can also predicate your rank by using the formula.,
(100-your percentile)*no.of students wrote the exam/100.
for the january exam total no of students are 112679
then your rank is 8450
The final rank will be given after the April exam.

Hello Fathima,
It is less when comparing with the previous data.According to the previous data,if you get 74.5 percentile in the JEE mains paper 2,then you have very less change to get seat in the colleges. So better to write the exam again in the month of April . And also make a plan for the exam and prepare according to it.And prepare more previous paper to know how the questions are going to given in the question paper. All the best.
Hope this helpsyou...
No this two papers are different and they are used for different purposes so there is no point to add the percentile of the paper
Paper 1 is for engineering where is paper 2 is for architecture and planning course.
Interest of JEE advanced the two papers are conducted and in the advanced only the scores of the two paper will be combined to calculate the rank
Hi Faisal,
On securing 150 marks in JEE Main paper 2 architecture, you rank would be approximately in between 20000 to 24000. Also, Above is the range of your possible rank. The predicted rank may vary due to JEE Main tie breaker rules for the same score.
If you have secured this rank you have a chance to get theses colleges:
Galgotias university,
Amity University,
Chandigarh university.
You will not get any NITs with this marks. This rank would not give you the government college of architecture. You can go for some private university. For the government college you need to have a minimum of 200+ marks in the architecture paper.
