B.D.S.
With 308 marks in NEET 2025 and SC category, it is very difficult to get a seat in a government BDS college. Usually, SC category students need around 380 to 430 marks to get BDS in a government college.
But still, if the cut-off goes down this year or some seats remain vacant, you may have a very small chance in the mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.
You can get admission in private BDS colleges with 308 marks, especially under SC quota. Many private colleges accept students with lower scores.
You should take part in all counselling rounds. You can also think about doing B.Sc. in allied health sciences or other medical-related courses, or try NEET again next year for a better score.

With 148 marks in NEET 2025, getting a seat in a government BDS college is very unlikely because the cutoff is usually much higher. You may still have a chance at a private or deemed dental college, especially under reservation categories like OBC, SC, or ST. Some colleges allow admission around 140–150 marks, mostly in later rounds with higher fees.
Keep an eye on your state’s AYUSH or dental counselling portal. When counselling opens, apply and fill in your choices. You can also look into BAMS or BHMS courses as alternatives since their cutoff is lower.

Hello,
A BDS seat at a Government Medical College is extremely unlikely to be obtained with a NEET 2025 score of 248. Generally speaking, government BDS seats demand much higher marks, depending on the state and category. It's not a certainty, but there maybe few opportunities at some private universities, particularly those with the greater tuition or in less competitive areas.
Hello aspirant,
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is expected to make an announcement shortly on the NEET 2025 counseling procedure. With the exception of the final round, known as the institute reporting process, in which candidates must physically visit the designated institute to complete the admissions process and verify their documents, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET counseling process online.

Since you completed classes 8, 9, and 10 in Andhra Pradesh as a hosteler and then did 11th and 12th in Telangana, your eligibility for NEET state quota seats depends on how each state defines domicile.
Andhra Pradesh (AP) AP offers both local area and non-local (unreserved) seats. If you studied in AP for a continuous period or have parents with long-term residency, you may qualify. AP also allows non-local candidates to compete for 15% of unreserved state quota seats. (https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/vijayawada/sc-order-on-t-domicile-policy-not-applicable-for-ap-says-official/articleshow/122887501.cms?utm_source=chatgpt.com)
Telangana (TS) Telangana currently requires students to have studied Classes 9 to 12 in the state to qualify for its state quota. However, the Supreme Court has flagged this rule as too restrictive and urged a more inclusive approach where domicile is based on parental residence, not just schooling. A hearing is scheduled soon.
What This Means for You
You may be eligible for AP state quota under the non-local category, especially if you meet other residency criteria.
TS quota eligibility is uncertain due to the pending court decision, and your schooling history might not currently meet TS requirements.
Hello
Your chances of getting a semi government BDS seat at D.Y Patil Dental College in Pune, with AIR 207848 are slim, particularly since you are a woman from a Maharashtra.
Consider looking into the prospect of management quota seats, but keep in mind that these frequently having greater cost.
Hello Aspirant,
With 132 marks in NEET UG and belonging to the SC category, your chances of getting a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seat in a government dental college are very low, even under the SC reservation.
Here is Why:
The qualifying cutoff for SC in NEET UG 2024 was around 116–118 marks (40th percentile), so you are eligible for counselling.
However, government BDS colleges usually require higher scores, even for reserved categories. In SC category, the cutoff for BDS government colleges usually starts from around 350–420+ marks depending on the state.
With 132 marks, you can explore private BDS colleges, especially through state quota counselling or management/NRI quota seats.
Some deemed universities or private colleges may also offer BDS seats at this score, but the fees will be higher.
All the best.
Yes, it is possible to get a BDS seat in a private college with a NEET rank of 9 lakh, especially through the management quota or in colleges with lower cutoffs. Many private dental colleges in India accept NEET scores up to a rank of 10,00,000 to 12,50,000.
Hello My dear student,
HERE your question answer.
With 233 marks in NEET , addmission in government MBBs ,BDS, and, bhms colleges is not possible as your marks ,
You have good chances to get admission in private MBBS ,BDS , AND BAMS college , it's depend on your category, State Quota, and Cutoff.
Best of luck.
Thank you.
Being in the SC category and having an All India NEET Rank of 250784 makes it impossible that you would be selected for a government MBBS or BDS seats in Ranchi, such as RIMS during the regular counselling rounds. But there is a chance in the round of stray vacancies. These rounds usually have lower cutoffs than the main counselling rounds.
