B.D.S.
Hi aspirant,
All the best!
The NEET 2024 cutoff for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) admission for candidates in the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category is between 163 and 129 marks. This range corresponds to the 40th percentile, which is the minimum qualifying percentile for SC, ST, and OBC candidates.
Achieving a score within this range is essential to be eligible for the NEET counselling process. However, securing admission to a government dental college may require higher marks, depending on the institution's specific cutoff for the ST category. Private dental colleges may have different cutoff criteria, often varying based on location and demand.
It is advisable to consult the official NEET 2024 cutoff list and the respective state counselling authorities for precise information regarding admission to specific dental colleges
With 342 marks, it may be challenging to secure a seat in BDS or BAMS at CSMSS Aurangabad, as cutoff scores can vary depending on the competition, category, and availability of seats. It is advisable to check with the institution for accurate cutoff details.
Hello,
If you do BDS first in MP and don’t use the Medhavi Yojana, and then after 1 year crack NEET again and take admission in a private MBBS college using Medhavi Yojana, then yes , you can get the benefit of the scheme if you still fulfil all the conditions at that time.
But make sure:
You have not used Medhavi Yojana before.
You meet all the eligibility rules (like income limit, marks, etc.) again when applying.
So, if all conditions are met, you can get the benefit.
Hope it helps !
I understand how difficult your situation must be. Your BDS course gameplay cessation without incurring penalties is solely reliant on ‘the institution’s rules, the bond or admission agreement, and the medical grounds policies’ of your institution. What you can do is: 1. Check your admission documents – Look to see if there are any bonds or penalty provisions for withdrawal from the course. 2. Take a medical certificate – Obtain a certificate, from a registered psychiatrist or clinical psychologist, outlining the diagnosis. 3. Formulate a formal application – The application needs to be requesting to withdraw on medical grounds and must include a medical certificate. 4. Visit the principal or the academic clerk’s office – Inquire if the penalty could perhaps be waived owing to genuine health concerns. Documented cases often attract sympathy from several institutions, hopefully if you provide sufficient, valid documentation relevant to your situation.
Hii,
MBBS in Kolkata government colleges, you need around 620–650 marks. For BDS, around 560–570 marks are needed. Good MBBS colleges are Medical College Kolkata, NRS, and RG Kar. Best BDS college is Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College. Try for 620+ for MBBS and 560+ for BDS.
HEY THERE!!!
For admission to the BDS course in Government Dental College and Hospital, Aurangabad in 2024, the final round NEET UG closing ranks were as follows:
In previous years, the General category closing ranks were 41,093 (2023) and 56,876 (2022), reflecting some fluctuation in cutoff patterns.
Admission will be strictly based on NEET UG rank and the candidates must go through centralized counseling process for seat allotment.
The marks required for BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) through NEET 2025 can vary significantly based on several factors, including the category of the candidate, the type of college (government or private), the state in which the college is located, and the overall competition in the exam that year. It's important to understand that there isn't a fixed cutoff that applies to all situations.
However, based on previous years' trends and expected patterns for NEET 2025, we can provide a general idea of the marks you might need to aim for:
For admission to government dental colleges under the general category, a score of 550 marks and above out of 720 is generally considered a good benchmark. For the top government dental colleges, this score might even need to be closer to 600 or higher . For reserved categories like OBC, SC, and ST, the cutoff scores are typically lower, but still competitive. For instance, for OBC candidates, a score in the range of 520-540 might be expected for a decent government college. For SC and ST candidates, the required marks could be in the range of 350-420 , but this can vary.
For private dental colleges , the cutoff scores are generally lower compared to government colleges. A score in the range of 350-450 might be sufficient to secure a BDS seat in a private college, but again, this depends on the specific college and its reputation.
It's also crucial to consider the All India Quota (AIQ) and the state quota for seats. The AIQ seats (15% of the total seats in government colleges) usually have higher cutoff marks because they are open to students from all over India, leading to greater competition. The remaining 85% of seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in private colleges fall under the state quota, and the cutoffs for these can vary significantly from state to state.
Keep in mind that these are expected ranges based on previous year data and are subject to change depending on the factors mentioned earlier. The official NEET 2025 cutoff for BDS will be released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) after the declaration of the NEET results.
I hope this helps.
To secure a government seat in BDS, BAMS, or BHMS, aim for a NEET score of 400+ for general category, 350+ for OBC, and 280+ for SC/ST. These scores can provide a good chance for admission, but some colleges may accept lower scores.
Elaboration:
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery):
A score of 400-500 is considered a good score for ST candidates and 400-450 for SC candidates for government dental colleges.
BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery):
A score between 450-500+ is well-positioned for government BAMS colleges, particularly those with good infrastructure, faculty, and training facilities.
BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery):
Similarly, a score between 450-500+ is considered good for government BHMS colleges.
Category-wise Scores:
General Category: 400+
OBC: 350+
SC/ST: 280+
Management Quota:
Some colleges may have management quota seats, where even lower scores can be sufficient if you have the financial means.
Factors Influencing Cutoffs:
Cutoffs can vary based on the specific college, state, and category. It's always recommended to check the previous year's cutoff trends and consider the college's reputation and infrastructure.
