Tamil Nadu open university is obviously approved by Kerala PSC and even Tamil Nadu University is approved by Kerala PSC. IGNOU distance B. Ed programme is recognised by Kerala PSC. Other Distance B. Ed programmes are not recognised by Kerala Public Service Commission. Otherwise minimum 45% - 50% in Class 12 and graduation is the selection criteria.

It has most of the good faculties and well established infrastructure.

B.Ed is a 2 year undergraduate teaching course, especially for the ones who aspire to become teachers. Bed admission in top universities and colleges is done on the basis of both of Entrance Exam and Merit basis. Several entrance exams are being conducted like DU Bed, IGNOU Bed etc.
