With yor rank you have a good chance of getting BAMS and BHMS in government colleges in uttar pradesh as well as in other states. The cut of for BAMS in uttar pradesh is upto 3 lac in uttar pradesh and even lower for BHMS.
You should definitely participate in both the state as well as the central AYUSH counselling.

With 81 marks in NEET, you’re not NEET qualified, so you can’t get BHMS, even under NRI quota.
NEET qualification is mandatory for all AYUSH courses.

Hello,
No, even under the management quota, you cannot be admitted to BHMS without a qualifying Neet.
Need Certificate is required for admission to BHMS even for management quota or private College admissions, according to the most recent rules issued by the ministry of AYUSH and the National Commission for Indian system of medicine.
HELLO,
It is possible but it might be challenging to secure a BHMS ( Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) seat in West Bengal government medical college with a category rank of 136011 in the OBC-NCL Category. The cutoff for government colleges is typically higher even for reserved categories like OBC-NCL.
Here is a more detailed breakdown :-
1.Competition for BHMS seats in West Bengal Government colleges is high especially for reserved categories
2.While the category rank of 136011 suggests a decent performance securing a seat in a government college often requires a significantly higher score or rank.
3.You might have better chance of getting a seat in a private BHMS college as they generally have lower cutoffs
4.Participating in the counselling is important as it will provide a clearer picture of seat availability and your chances based on your rank
Hope this Helps!
You have a decent probability of being admitted to a government BHMS college in Odisha with a NEET 2025 rank of 156111 and 430 marks, and a modest chance of being admitted to a government BAMS institution, particularly under the state quota.
Here's the some AYUSH colleges in Odisha:
Just register for counseling and full up the maximum choices.
If you get only 60 marks in NEET, then you cannot get admission in BHMS. Because to qualify NEET, general category students need at least 144 marks. Even private BHMS colleges need more than 200 marks.
With an All India Rank of 6,34,169, getting a BHMS seat under the state quota is possible but difficult in most states, especially for General/OBC categories.
However, if you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/EWS) and apply in states with lower cutoffs or less competition, you may have a chance in later rounds.
Holding an All India Rank of 2,71,334 in NEET 2025 and classified under the General (Unreserved) category, your likelihood of obtaining a BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) seat in a government institution is quite limited, as government homeopathy colleges typically set higher cut-offs, particularly for unreserved category applicants. Nonetheless, cut-off trends may change annually due to the exam's difficulty, the number of candidates, and the seat availability. Thus, it is strongly advised that you engage in the counselling procedure, both the All India AYUSH counselling organized by AACCC and your specific state-level AYUSH counselling. By doing so, you can investigate all options, including private or semi-government BHMS colleges, which often have lower cut-offs. Engaging in counselling maintains your alternatives, and you may encounter available positions in subsequent rounds for which you might qualify.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hi Ayush,
We understand your concern, as NEET is a very competitive exam you need at least 550 or more to get admission into a decent MBBS college not a top tier college as it would require 650 to 700 marks in NEET.
Now, it is good as you are keeping BDS/ BAMS or BHMS as backup option and then reappearing for NEET exam next year. But, be sure that you can simultaneously prepare for NEET while studying BAMS.
If you strongly feel to pursue for MBBS then you may even take a complete year drop with good preparation for 2026 NEET exam but if you want to minimize the risk, it is better to opt for BAMS/ BDS and then trying your luck again in 2026 exam.
