Hi Student
If you are preparing for CLAT then you can prefer that study material only because the syllabus for 5 years law exam is almost same. Here also I am giving you some of the books name you can prefer.
BHU by Arihant Experts
Legal awareness and legal reasoning by A.P.Bharjwaj.
Legal Aptitude for CLAT and other Law entrance examination by A.P.Bhardwaj.
The Pearson’s Legal refresher For the CLAT and Law Entrance and Judicial Services examinations by A.P.Bhardwaj.
Some preparation Tips :
Good Luck!
Hey.
As per the pattern of BHU LLb there are 150 questions with 450 marks from the topics of English Comprehension, General Awareness and Current Affairs, Aptitude and Mental ability and Common legal knowledge.3 marks for correct answer, 1 deducted for wrong and zero for unattempted.
For preparation You can use an all inclusive guide like Universal's guide to LLB and CLAT which includes basics and practice questions for all these topics which can also be used for other similar entrances. You can also use Arihant's guide to BHU LLb. Other than that you can refer to previous year question papers for each entrance for a better guidance. For current affairs and verbal section the Hindu is considered as the best newspaper. You can use R.S aggarwal'a books for Logical Reasoning or quantitative section in case you need a separate book other than universal's guide. You won't require a separate book for reasoning as the level isn't that high. Univeral/arihant woukd be fine. Make sure you practice a lot using previous years question
Best of luck
Eligibility Criteria for LLB course of 3 year by BHU clearly states that a candidate needs to be graduate in any stream with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years excluding those subjects whose only pass marks are needed and it doesn't anyway contribute to overall marksheet of degree program. Or any other degree recognized by BCI under at least 10+2+2 pattern with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years.
There's relaxation for reserved category, OBC needs 45%, ST/SC needs 40% to be eligible for LLB 3 year program.
So, for a person to apply for BHU 3 year LLB Program, he/she needs to be a graduate with respective aggregate catering to their category.
