which course is best ? B-tech in biotechnology and B- tech in biomedical engineering by placement in Integral University?
Hello Arqab,
Comparing both the courses is not a wise option, as every course has their own importance in their own particular field.
Further details about Btech in Biotechnology is as follows:
It is a 4 year program that is offered by Integral university. Qualifying Examinations are IUET, Jee mains, Jee advanced, state level examinations.
Placements are good, and about 80% of the students got placed . The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nestle and TCS.

I hope this helps.
Is biomedical engineering a good career and will it be good from SRM colleges? is the salary same like other engineering ?
It will be a very good option to study biomedical engineering from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and its affiliated colleges. This is because of the following mentioned below points:
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology has well equipped biomedical instrumentation lab, digital and integrated circuits lab, Medical image processing lab, bio signal processing lab.
- In the recent year there were 81 students who got recruited from biomedical engineering field in various multinational companies.
- Medtronic, Philips, BPL, baxter, stryker, Braun are the major recruiters of SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
- SRM Institute of Science and Technology also conducts international conference on biomedical engineering in computing Technology every year.

hey everyone, I wanna know about biomedical engineering, what is it all about, what is its scope in jammu nd kashmir . is it a better option than mechanical engineering? plz give suggestions.
Hello Aspirant
Biomedical engineering program comprises study about tissue engineering, molecular or systems level biology/ physiology and mathematics. Students get to study about biomedical electronics, quantitative and analytical skills required to interpret data acquired and processing of medical data including imaging and enhancement techniques. Other aspects of the program include the study of biomechanics, cellular engineering, genetic engineering, orthopedic surgery, bio-instrumentation, medical imaging and bio-materials. Other important topics, about which the student will get to know include, about studying about advanced therapeutic and surgical devices, computer modeling of physiologic systems.
As per the comparison with mechanical engineering both are two distinct branches with different course outcomes, your capability and interest towards the subject will drag your attention and dedication towards it.
The scope of Biomedical Engineering is such that according to the reports, there will be a surge in the demand for biomedical engineers and it is predicted to rise to 23 percent between 2014 to 2024. Today, people who are facing problems related to knee or hips are even opting for replacement procedures. In the past, some of the medical tests were quite painful. However, biomedical engineers work are working towards developing technology that is less painful for patients. Every day new ways are devised to do blood tests, screening for infectious diseases and in genetics. Today, we see a surge in heart and kidney ailments as well as problems related to joints. In order to overcome these, bioengineers are involved in the designing and construction of devices such as cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators, artificial kidneys, blood oxygenators, prosthetic hearts, and joints.
Hope it helps!!!
