I am from sc category I got 56.9 percentile in jee mains can I get admission in BTech biomedical engineering at government engineering colleges, Gandhinagar. and i am from Madhya pradesh.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 10th Mar, 2021

hi,

see cutoff score changes every year, it changes with some facts like students category, number of applicant for any particular year, choice of stream, questions level of toughness etc. however based on your percentile your overall probable rank would be 440913 - 495650, however this is just overall ranking, its not your category ranking. but at this score it would be quite difficult to secure seat in any government institute. government engineering colleges gandhinagar b.tech admission is based on gujcet and jee main score. however you should try to score higher in next attempt of exam, you may select careers360 b.tech companion tool which is helpful for self study:

you may give a shot to careers360 college predictor tool to know about probable college name based on your jee main score:

I am in sc category I got 56.9 percentile can I get admission in BTech biomedical engineering at North Eastern Hill University Shillong Meghalaya and I am from Madhya Pradesh.

It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category
However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

does btech in medical electronic eligible for gate biomedical engineering

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 10th Mar, 2021

hi,

gate stands for graduate aptitude test in engineering. based on gate scores admission to m.tech and phd courses is offered by iits, nits and tier 1 institute in India. however the eligibility criteria for appearing in gate exam is candidates must have completed b.tech course of 4 years or diploma + btech course of 6 years or  master degree  course of 2 years in relevant discipline. how see final years candidates or candidates who are in third year of engineering course are eligible to apply. students from engineering background may choose any of the stream to appear in gate exam. so even if your stream is medical electronics you can choose gate paper of bio medical engineering.

hope it would help.

I did diploma in biomedical engineering after 10th now I want to change my field. I am intrested in MBBS so how should I go further can u guide me step by step what exam should I give?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 2nd Feb, 2021

Hi

Admission in MBBS is through Neet examination
Now,
Neet 2021 eligibility  criteria says that, to be eligible  one must be either appearing for the class 12th/equivalent examination 2021 or one must have passed 12th/equivalent examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

-) at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

-) at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

-)at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

Though your diploma in biomedical engineering is equivalent to 10 + 2 but have you studied physics chemistry biology and English in your biomedical engineering? if you have studied and fulfill the above percentage requirement in PCB as per your category then you are eligible otherwise your not eligible.

Also,
* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021
* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021
* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

Nive 19th Dec, 2020

Hello, for the lateral entry in Biomedical engineering you would need a diploma in biomedical or in Bio Science field so it is not possible to get an lateral entry. If you have done biology stream in your 12th board then you are eligible for biomedical engineering 1st year after going through the counselling process. However you are eligible for lateral entry in textile engineering with 45 percent aggregate in your diploma. You can use this link to know about the course https://dqxeclau.top/courses/textile-engineering-course

To know and compare about the colleges that offer the course you can use this link https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-be-btech-in-textile-engineering-colleges-in-india
