Biomedical Engineering
Hello,
I will discuss the details of both these fields below, one by one.
Instrumentation & Control Engineering
Instrumentation & Control Engineering is a specialized branch of Electrical and Electronics engineering and deals with the study of principle and operation of measuring instruments, which are used in the design and configuration of automated systems. Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Instrumentation & Control Engineering is a four year duration undergraduate course in Engineering.
Plenty of job opportunities are available in both the private as well as the public sector. Some of the top Recruiting Companies are ONGC, BSNL, Philips, OPPO, Reliance India Ltd, etc.
Some of the job profiles are Design trainee engineer, Testing Engineer, Instrumentation site engineer, Technician.
The salary will depend upon the company/organisation you join, the post, etc. But on an average the salary can be around INR 1.6-2.25 Lakhs for a fresher
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering combines the study of electronics part for sensing the different instrumentation engineering. B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate course.
After completing this course you can find job opportunities in both the private as well as public sector.
Some of the famous recruiters are BHEL, BEL, NTPC, ONGC, DRDO, ISRO, HAL, GE, L&T, Honeywell, Allen-Bradley, Cairn India, Siemens, Cognizant, Wipro, Accenture, Amazon, Infosys, Essar, ABB Group, Yokogawa Electric, Capgemini Cognizant, Deloitte, Tata Power, Tata Steel, etc.
Some of the job profiles are Instrumentation Engineer, Electronics Engineer, Instrumentation and Control Technician, Electrical R & D Engineer, Automation Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, etc.
The salary will depend upon the company/organisation you join, the post, etc. But on an average the salary can be anywhere between INR 2,00,000 – 10,00,000.
Good Luck
YOu have not mentioned the name of the college, but from another question you just asked I assume you are asking about SRM.
I will share the official link from where you will get the syllabus and the curriculum for B.Tech biomedical engineering course at SRM institute kattankulathur. Please go through the same.
https://webstor.srmist.edu.in/web_assets/srm_mainsite/files/2017/btech-bme-curriculum-n-syllabus-2015.pdf
If you wanted the syllabus for any other college then it will be more or less the same as this itself.
Hello aspirant,
Biomedical engineering admission is same as that of any other engineering course admission. Here you have to give entrance exams like JEE Advanced and so on. Furthermore, you need to have completed your 10th and 12th from a valid board with the subjects such as Biology, Mathematics and Chemistry. There are UG courses, PG courses, Doctoral courses and Diploma courses in Biomedical Engineering. Top colleges like IIT Bombay, MIT Manipal, COEP Pune etc. provide the course as well. For more information, you can go through the given links below-

Since there are few IITs like IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay that offer biomedical engineering, so a PCB student can apply for it by undergoing entrance exams like JEE Mains. Admission to Biomedical Engineering course, which is a 4 year course duration, is done either through a national level entrance exams like JEE Mains or through direct admission. The minimum aggregate required to pursue the course is of 50%.
Hope, this answer helps you.
