gate stands for graduate aptitude test in engineering. based on gate scores admission to m.tech and phd courses is offered by iits, nits and tier 1 institute in India. however the eligibility criteria for appearing in gate exam is candidates must have completed b.tech course of 4 years or diploma + btech course of 6 years or  master degree  course of 2 years in relevant discipline. how see final years candidates or candidates who are in third year of engineering course are eligible to apply. students from engineering background may choose any of the stream to appear in gate exam. so even if your stream is medical electronics you can choose gate paper of bio medical engineering.

Admission in MBBS is through Neet examination
Now,
Neet 2021 eligibility  criteria says that, to be eligible  one must be either appearing for the class 12th/equivalent examination 2021 or one must have passed 12th/equivalent examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

-) at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

-) at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

-)at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

Though your diploma in biomedical engineering is equivalent to 10 + 2 but have you studied physics chemistry biology and English in your biomedical engineering? if you have studied and fulfill the above percentage requirement in PCB as per your category then you are eligible otherwise your not eligible.

Also,
* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021
* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021
* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

Hello, for the lateral entry in Biomedical engineering you would need a diploma in biomedical or in Bio Science field so it is not possible to get an lateral entry. If you have done biology stream in your 12th board then you are eligible for biomedical engineering 1st year after going through the counselling process. However you are eligible for lateral entry in textile engineering with 45 percent aggregate in your diploma. first of all you have to check the course duration, level of the course like whether it is undergraduate or post graduate. generally bachelors in bio medical engineering is of 4 years duration. the eligibility criteria is candidates have to pass 12th course with mathematics, physics and chemistry as a compulsory subject.  the important documents like 10th certificate, 12th certificate, visa and education permission documents, etc are needed. however most of the college requires ielts or toefel like language proficiency test scores, also some of the college has own entrance test . some of the best college which offer bachelors in biomedical engineering in south america has mentioned below. you have to check the admission details and apply.
