Hey there!
Although there's no particular branch where quantum mechanics is the top priority there are a couple of branches that do utilize the quantum technology namely are electrical engineering and materials engineering. If you want to exclusive pursue quantum mechanics you can look into B.Sc Physics.
Dear aspirant
DRDO gives job opportunities in various branches however, with the current trends, it appears like the Electrical and ECE are the best branches as these are most applicable in the industry.
You should go with either electrical(less preferably) or ECE(more preferably).
Hope this helps. Thank you.
Hello M Bhanumaheswar Reddy ,
Engineering branches that will help one get Government job easily
Hope it will be helpful for you :)
Each and every branch has its own merits and demerits. There’s nothing much to say about scope and money for a particular stream. Even we can find that one of civil Engineering department gets better placed than that of the CSE engineer.
All it depends on the mentality and dedication one puts into during his term at a particular college or institution. h
However, both of the streams mentioned above has great opportunities and scope both in and outside the country. Various PSUs as well as private giant companies are hiring ESE/EE engineers in various sectors.
If you are dedicated and well focused in your career, you will shine at any circumstances and from any streams.

Hey!
In your first semester or we can say first year focuses mainly on recapitulation of the subjects and concepts that you've studied in class 12. Though, pattern may differ from one college to other. Like, suppose if you are studying all the subjects related to physics in 1st semester then in 2nd semester you'll get the subject related to chemistry and in some other college this can be either way as well.
And maximum number of subjects that you'll study in 1st and 2nd semester will be common in all other branches as well. They focus on improving your basics in first year .
You will start studying your core subjects from second year onwards.
Subjects in SEMESTER 1:
- Basic Electrical engineering lab
- Basic Electrical engineering
- Engineering physics
- Engineering physics Lab.
- Engineering Mathematics-1
- Engineering Graphics
- Engineering graphics lab.
- English for communication
- Material science
SEMESTER 2:
- Engineering Chemistry
- Engineering Chemistry Lab.
- C programming
- Basic Mechanical engineering including Lab sessions
- Semiconductor devices & Circuits Including lab sessions.
- workshop technology
Based on your university syllabus and pattern, some subjects can be different from the ones I've mentioned above or maybe they will teach chemistry in 1st sem and physics in 2nd. So this is what you'll study In your first year.
All the best!

DEAR Aspirant,
Both of these branches have their perks. However, as per the current market needs CSE is a better choice as the IT sector recruits a large number of students. ECE is also a very good branch but it is more difficult academically and has a lower number of jobs when compared the the CSE.
However, for the government jobs this figure is opposite with ECE has 10-20X more government jobs as compared to the CSE. Moreover, Girls are preferred for the ECE positions too.
