1. Which branch of engineering is best for UPSE (civil service) and as well as for technical Gov. jobs. Which optional subject is most popular for appearing in UPSE exam among BE/Btech graduates? 2. Which 1 is better & Y? -Btech in CSE at manipal or Btech Hons in CSE at manipal jaipur university?

Sohamsengupta8 29th Jun, 2022

Hello Student

Being an engineering graduate you should take the branch of civil or mechanical or electrical or electronics study of courses. The branches of engineering course is popular and acceptable for union public Service commission-that is of civil services examination.  There is some factors to choose optional subjects for civil or Indian administrative services  those are -the subject should be scoring,

The syllabus will be less,

Materials are easily available,,

Subject suits your aptitude.

For the optional  choice of core subjects will be possibly not so scoring. The subjects related to BTech courses like physics and mathematics will be the best choices for optional subjects in UPSC civil services examination.

Computer Science Engineering in Manipal University will be the best.

Hope this will help.

which is highly paid Btech course

Moumoyee Chakraborty 1st Feb, 2022

Dear applicant although there are many courses offering a hefty sum of package to fulfill your desire of being placed in a good company. So overall the pay scale depends on your potential rather than the stream. So overall there are core B.TECH branches like Mechanical Engineering, computer science engineering, information technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering which offer a package of 4-8 LPA at an average to the fresher candidates.

Hope it helps!!!

I am studying in 12th passing in this year so what branch in btech should I choose?

Sumedha Bhattacharya 27th Jan, 2022

Dear Student ,

It totally depends on your choice . First of all , you need to have science background in 12th class and with PCM combination for appearing in JEE MAIN exam. Well, after that you can choose your preferred stream .

Now a days some of the well demanding stream name are as follows :

  • Computer Sc and Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electronics and Computer Engineering etc.

If you are interested to do job in IT sector field then above courses will be suitable for you .. Or if you want to do technical job in Govt sectors then you can choose core fields like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical.

Lastly, the decision will be based entirely upon your preferred domain.. Choose carefully the stream you want( based on the College wise JEE cut off)
