Civil Engineering
Hello,
The candidates who have qualified in GATE and applied for TS PGECET Counselling will be given first priority for admission. After the GATE qualified candidates are allotted seat the rest of the seats will be allotted to TS PGECET qualified candidates. Analyzing the past years cut off trend it is difficult to get seat in Osmania University College of Engineering through TS PGECET if you belong to general category but through GATE you will have decent chances of getting seat in Osmania University College of Engineering if you belong to general category or reserved category provided you must have GATE score of minimum 300 to 500. If you belong to reserved category (BC/SC/ST) then you have decent chances to get seat in Osmania University College of Engineering through TS PGECET. So, if your GATE score is 300 or above then apply for counselling through GATE score if it is less than 300 and if you belong to reserved category apply for counselling through TS PGECET score.
Hello Gandham. You mentioned your rank but didn't mention the category where you belong to. So, I assume you are a General (Open Category) candidate and I will try to give an answer based on that.
Based on your rank and previous years' cutoff data, it is really tough for you to get chance to grab a seat for Civil Engineering or any other core engineering branches from most of the top Government and Private institutes ( if you are general candidate ).
Even if you belong to SC/ST/OBC category, it is less likely for you to get chance in pursuing any core engineering streams from any top institutes.

Yes, you are eligible but your admission would based on your 12th exam marks with science including PCM as subjects.
Selections in most colleges are done through entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, SRMJEEE, VITEEE, SITEEE, AMUEEE, etc. These exams are conducted by different institutional bodies. JEE Main & Advanced are conducted by NTA (National Test Agency) while other entrance exams are regulated by their respective institutes.
Many private colleges also conduct direct admission on just basis of academic qualification or donation.
After qualifying for the entrance exam, candidates are allotted seats through counselling which is regulated by the respective authorities of these institutes.

Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
You already have a diploma. I guess it would be easier for you to enter engg colleges for Civil related courses. Btech is a 4 year Under graduate course in the Field of Engineering. For Diploma Students, it is a 3 year course in which the diploma students will directly go to second year of Btech. So No, you can't pursue CSE steam in Btech after pursuing Civil engineering in diploma course. To pursue CSE in Btech you must have done the same Branch thst is CSE in Diploma.
But no one cant stop you from learning coding and programming even mechanical and civil engineers work in ITs For ecample Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) after learning coding by themself from YouTube, YouTube and other coding learning channels are actually has very good video content which is far better than the degree courses and you actually get to learn real stuff.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!
