Now I am in 11th and i have no knowlege about coding .In this case can i become a software enginner

Afifa 15th Sep, 2020

Hello dear ,

You no need to worry about that . You need to start learning coding from BTECH . It is not that much hard as you think . Even if the student who has no idea about coding before 12th can also become a sucessfull software engineer. It's never too late to start learning programming, and you shouldn't feel discouraged by the average age of software developers nowadays. Software development is all about knowledge and if you are qualified for a job, then age won't be an issue.

Good luck !!

Im BE MECH with no work experience and no coding knowledge can I enter into data science as a freshers? hows the career in Future?

Suvakanta Sahu 15th Sep, 2020

Dear Rahul ,

Yes ,you can start learning but it will take some time with you will face little bit top because you are not the background of IT/CS .First of all you start from the basics things like little bit coding knowledge or you can start from the python coding basic then only you can go through the Data science because data science is a vast course it includes so many things such as Machine learning ,artificial intelligence, python and so many things so you have to start from the basic .

If you will early gain knowledge then your future will bright because now days and upcoming days data science is most demanding with highly opportunities .

Think posting and do your work .

Thanks

hello Im BE MECH no job exp Im confused to choose btw data science and data analyst COURSE for job which to choose as I have no coding Knowledge and want good Salary?

rachanapbennur 16th Oct, 2020

Hello Rahul!

Before answering which course you can choose, let me differentiate between data science and data analyst fields based on certain criteria:

Data science is a field of computer science that deals with interpretation, analysis, extracting useful information and applying the results and conclusions of it to enhance the business outcome. Data science requires strong technical background, and a knowledge in fields like Big data, ML and ofcourse mathematics is very much needed. Data scientists have highly demand and also are very well paid.

Data analysts, on the other hand do not require too much of technical background. The main role of a data analyst is to analyse the huge data and draw conclusions from it. They require more business skills and need to be able to effectively comminicate their findings to others. usually they are less paid than data scientists on an average.

Now, before choosing data science or data analyst course, it is important to learn coding. Without coding, you cannot succeed in either of the courses. Preferable programming languages common to both courses is python. Python is easy to learn, however, it is recommended to learn a core language like C, C++ or java. After gaining knowledge in programming and algorithms, you can decide which course to take as per your interest.

All the best!

my jee main CRL rank is 28000 and OBC rank is 6800. I want to build my coding profile, but at this rank I cant get CSE Branch in any Nit (except newer nit), so I have decided that Ill take lower branch in good nit and ll start building my coding profile. please suggest me Nit options with branch.

NITIN KUMAR CHHABRA 12th Sep, 2020
Hi there,

Congratulations for getting such a good rank. According to your rank you still have chances of getting CSE branch in Csab special rounds of councelling in your home state Nit and may some good Nits too.

But if you don't get CSE you will go with ECE or IT branches as they are very good branches and will be helpful too in building your coding profile.

You can get ECE branch in:

1) Nit Kurukshetra

2) Nit Delhi

3 Nit Jamshedpur

4) Nit Hamirpur

5) Nit patna

6) Your Home state NIT

Also you can change your branch after 1 year in Nit using sliding procedure, but you have to get very good marks in 1 year to be upgraded to CSE branch.

NIT ALLAHABAD BIOTECH VS YMCA FARIDABAD CS?I DO LIKE STUDYING BIO(ALSO MATHS, CODING)

Sonali Sharma 21st Oct, 2020
Hey, you haven't mentioned your stream either its PCB or PCM. In case you're a PCMB student, it might be difficult for you to choose one of these two. Anyhow, you have to opt for one of these two institutions because it is not possible to prefer both the branches ( Biotech and CS) in the graduation field. Therefore, I suggest you select that branch you have an extreme interest in. If you'll choose Biotech, you can learn coding by online mode only.

I am not getting CS/IT branch, but i am interested in coding. Which college should I take UIET chandigarh(ECE) or IET lucknow (ECE) ?

Vishal Nayek 17th Oct, 2020

According to Careers360 analysis, Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow has got AAA+ which says this is a good college overall (Cut-offs of national / state level Entrance exams, Accreditation and Reward status, Publication record from Elsevier’s indexing database - Scopus) whereas University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh has got AAAA. In short, both of them are decent, so take your decision based on your preference and convenience.

As far as coding is concerned, to make you market ready, you'll be taught programming languages irrespective of the branch you study, so don't worry about it.

Here's the exclusive career360 guide for both the colleges:

how is biotech at dtu(Placements and opportunites)? should i choose dtu(biotech) or hbtu(paint/plastic) considering branch switching? can a biotech student in dtu sit for coding/tech companies?

Abhishek Roy 14th Oct, 2020

I will suggest you selecting BioTech at DTU over HBTI Kanpur Polymer. DTU has excellent faculty, research facilities and infrastructure. BioTech is not that bad a branch. You have lot of opportunities in researcg and development in Bioengineering if you plan to pursue a Masters or Doctoral degree later on in future.

As far as the Non Core/Coding/Finance sector is concerned, you can definitely sit for them and crack them, provided you have excellent skills and determination to compete with your peers in other branches. DTU being located near IT Hubs at Noida and Gurgaon further provides the impetus for prospects in training and placement. Most of the MnCs and IT Companies recruit from DTU.

All the Best.
