Coding
Hello,
Yes, students are taught coding such as C and C++ languages in ECE. Many students apply for software coding and pursue competitive coding even ECE students.
Hope this helps you out.
Good luck!
Dear student,
NIT-Jalandhar is a tier-3 Indian engineering colleges and most of the degree holders from such colleges have to work at Services based companies. The average salary is 3–4 LPA.
For NIT Durgapur the highest salary package offered was LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like HPCL and ONGC visited their campus for placements.
Hello there,
Yes, you can do coding when you're in architecture brunch. There are many companies that take a placement exam which is for all branches. They identified if your coding skills are good and you have enough knowledge about that for that position.
Hope this answer clears your maximum doubt.
Dear Aspirant,
If you are new to coding and don't know how to start it or what its command means, then firstly start with C language it is the basic language and will teach you simple and useful commands.Use a text editor and start with normal code using opeartors, return type commands, functions and this slowly increase your level by learning data structure, array and thereafter start practicing transformation of array, reversing an array.
If you want to be good at programming you need to start learning data structure, algorithms.Start learning different language now like python,JAVA .When you will master in one language you will automatically find it the other language's much easy.
If you prefer reading books then use:
1.Let us C by Yashwant Kanetkar
2.Test your C skills by Yashwant Kanetkar
3.Data structure and algorithms by Reema Thareja.
4.JAVA by Herbert Schildt
5.C by Herbert Schildt.
Lastly try practicing these programming languages in hackerrank. This will help you to improve very much.
Hope this helps you
Thank you
Hi Aspirant!
The college can be compared on the facilities and placements.According to NIRF ranking we consider its facilities and exposure. The NIRF ranking of NIT Rourkela is 16, NIT Warangal 19, NIT Calicut 23,DTU 36.
As you have interest in Computer Science/Coding then in this case college does not matter as in this field only your skills matter. But the better college on NIRF ranking can provide you best/more opportunities to explore.
Now on the basis on placements the average package of NIT Rourkela is 15.18LPA,NIT Warangal 13.3LPA,NIT Calicut 8 LPA,DTU has 16LPA.
Hence on the basis of Placements DTU is best.I still recommend you to go for NIT Rourkela because it provides you more opportunities than DTU.
I hope it helps.
Happy Hustling!
Dear Candidate,
Yes. You can get placed in gigantic tech companies like the ones you mentioned even if you are not from core IT or CS background. Only you need to convince the employers of your skill set. If you have good logical & analytical skills, problem solving & troubleshooting skills. They check how curious you are to solve a given situation & the flexibility you show goes a long way in determining your future too. You can definitely get placed in these big companies irrespective of your different background. There are many examples of students like this in the IT industry.
Get in touch with different people from technology on GitHub platform and you'll realise the diversity of students having different backgrounds.
Hope this helps. Thank You.

Dear Karan ,
Yes its obviously you will face lots of issue because you dont know the basic things about the computer science so as per my opinion go through the number system Binary number system Octal number system Hexadecimal number system Conversion from decimal to binary, octal, hexadecimal Converting decimal integer to binary, operators uses and you can go through the videos in youtube and then after go through the basic language programme such as "C" programming then you will learn function ,structure etc.. you can refer any of books for basic but you have to practice because coding is such things it will clear all doubt after doing practically .
Hope it will helpful
Thanks
