I will suggest you to take Mechanical, if you are not quite sure of excellence in coding. Coding and Software Development are fundamentals of any CS Engineer, be it in fields of Technical Architecture or Web and Software Development.

Core Prospects of Mechanical

Research Organizations : BARC ISRO DRDO

Operations Industries : ITC Reliance Unilever etc.

Mechanical Plants : Tata Steel Tata Motors TVS etc.

Digital/Technological Prospects in Mechanical

A student of class 12th who studied bio-maths group... can he or she b able to study Computer science group in college as b tech degree... will he b able to become a very good engineer ??? can he able to manage with the studies with computers after studying biology in 12th??? & even in coding too?

Raychel 17th Oct, 2020

Dear student,

I hope you are doing well.

You see, Physics, maths and chemistry are compulsory subject to join btech in cs. If you have studies these 3 subject than good.

I have done my 12th in computer science. So I can say computer science is not a very difficult subject, it was really fun and interesting. First they will teach you basic coding with C language. It's one of the most basic language. With a good base you will be able to do computer science.

Note: Cs is heavily dependent on maths and logic so sharpen you skills in maths. It's very much necessary.

If you are very doubtful about yourself I can give you a simple solution. Take up a small time course to learn basic in any 1 of the computer languages eg C , c++, java. If you are able to absorb and understand well and fine. Dont loose hope in first attempt you are learning it fo the first time not necessarily you will grasp everything in 1 short go step by step.

All the best hope I was helpful.

Hii there,

Dear candidate hope you are, reading your question it is not up to the point Please re ask your question or edit it because it neither provides any information about the doubt that you have, not it provides any problem in coding if you have it. Your doubt is not up to the point.

Hope you get my point. Thank you!!

i may get ece in pec chd, but my interest is only cse,so should i take ece & side by side prepare myself for cse placements(via some extra topics, coding languages). i got this suggestion from friends & a senior as they say its normal to do so. main rank-19926 adv rank-8261 & drop if i dont get it ?

Abhishek Singh Tomar 19th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant...

In this case Firstly you can consult your seniors or college administration about the stream change because in many colleges it is allowed to change your stream in second year based on the marks of first year

Secondly you can prepare side by side for coding all types of languages(I would suggest) and many basics of the CSE and prepare for your placements as company would not hesitate in taking a ECE student having knowledge of CSE because they will think why to pay for two different persons for different works if the works are done by a single person.

You can also appear for CSE branch in GATE exam because rules are changed that you can give one more stream exam other than main stream then bring good marks and get placed.

and lastly,

According to your ranks in jee advanced ranks you may get many other and good colleges like IIITs , central government universities or government aided colleges If you are of a general category student

CSE at NIT Warangal or ECE at NIT Trichy I really like coding but also dont want to miss Nit trichy

AKSHAYA.V.A. 18th Nov, 2020

Hello!

CSE at NIT Warangal have excellent overall ratings. They have good and consistent records of placement, average placement record is 93%. Highest package offered is 47Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 5.5Lakhs per annum and average package offered is 20Lakhs per annum. Top recruiters are Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Google, etc. They have awesome infrastructure and well qualified, helpful teaching faculty.

ECE at NIT Trichy have excellent overall ratings (both the colleges have more or less same overall rating throughout). They have better placement records than NIT Warangal, consistent record, average placement record is 95%. highest package offered is 44Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is 5Lakhs per annum and average package offered is 10-12Lakhs per annum. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Amazon, Oracle, NIVIDIA, SanDisk, Samsung, etc. Excellent campus with all amenities and highly qualified, supportive teaching faculties.

First let me tell you ECE will have coding and stuff but in a minimal level. If you are desperate for NIT Trichy go for it then pursue coding separately (like you can take a certification course and during placement you can show that). Lot of IT companies and MNC's recruit ECE students.

Choose wisely, ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was helpful.

Thank You

Im a BE MECH with no prior experience how can I start my career in data science with zero coding knowledge ?

Sreeja Siva 5th Oct, 2020

Hi,

Mechanical Engineering background will help you to have a strong background in Maths and Stats since it is part of your curriculum. Statistics and Maths are part of Data science. To know coding you can enroll yourself in online courses. There are MOOC platforms which will help you to learn data science from experts. Thus you can upgrade yourself. However you have to work hard in order to achieve your goal. If you really work for it the transition is possible. All the best.

if i dont know coding before college and dont want to do in college ,can i take electronics and telecommunication engineering ?

madhur 5th Oct, 2020
Hello there,
I would like to inform you that if you haven't done any coding in school then it's totally normal.
You can join a short course for coding language and learn the basics.
Moreover since the course in first year is same for all branches in most of the universities , therefore they do teach you a coding language which is compulsory to do .
So it's totally your choice to select the steam of your choice as per your preference that weather you want a software company job or not.

I hope this helps.
Regards
Madhur

is EEE or ECE best. which is harder to study. Does a 12 passed biomaths student be able to do coding in ECE.

Sreeja Siva 5th Oct, 2020

Hi,

Both of them are good courses. You learn from the basics once you enroll in the course so a prior knowledge is not mandatory. The difficulty of a subject depend upon student's interest in the subject. so an accurate prediction is not possible. The job opportunities are good in public as well as private sectors. Also you will have chances in abroad too. The coding is part of the curriculum in universities usually in first year (It vary according to universities). You will learn some basic coding but will be more focused on core subjects.

with no prior experience of programming or coding ,can i do a btech in ece or etc ?

Raychel 5th Oct, 2020

Dear Applicant,

Yes you could certainly go for it. It you feel you cant do programming try to read abit about it earlier. C or C++ would be the best option to start off with there 2 a the very first languages and c++ is derived from C so no worries with little understanding you will able to pull it of. Programming is based alot on maths and logic if these 2 things are very much well versed in you specifically maths you dont need to worry.

The skills required for Ecs is usually Complex problem-solving skills and a methodical mind. Critical thinking. Strong interest in technology. Aptitude for maths. Which you will gain automatically by learning C Language...

Hope this helps. All the best.

van metallurgy student who is good in coding can sit in cse placement on vnit????

Ashish Sharma 12th Nov, 2020

Hello,

Thanks for asking.

Yeah , you can draw placement attention towards you if you have good coding knowledge at the end of fourth year but for that you need to prove that by the way you were having a different branch but still you are interested in your own subject and you earned lot of certificates from online courses like NPTEL and you can also join the online coding skill tests or participate in problem solving algorithms at codewars, Hackerank , codechef, etc to enhance your skills.
