Best wishes. Thank-you.
JU have a very good programming culture in its campus. The diversity of languages and the expertise in coding can really be a very good opportunity for a student who want to go for the IT/Programming industry. Apart from this cultural aspects of JU is very good. You will find really bright minds there, so if you want to do something great then you can go for Jadavpur University with out any second choice.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello Sneha,
Hope you are doing good.
Good to know that you have basic knowledge of JAVA computer language. Btech in CSE provides you with all the knowledge of a basic computer language and skills along with OOPs language. The computer languages taught to you in BTech course are: Python, Java, MySQL, and ofcourse C Programming.
Basically, C++ is taught to PG level or to Mtech students. In BTech, students are taught with the C programming language in the 1st semester or 1st year. Since C language is the core basic of programming, it is taught for the very first year of UG followed by DSA ( data structure and algorithms) . And, other languages such as Java, python, etc are taught in other semesters.
IF you have basic knowledge of Java , that's very good; you'll be taught Java in the coming semesters of BTech after 1st year.
Hopefully this will help you & clear your doubts.
Best wishes ahead.
Read the information below -
There are several branches in engineering. Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Information Technology, Computer Science are some of them.
All the students have different subjects in their curriculum.
But in 1st year, all students have same subjects.
C language is the basic language of coding that is taught in 1st year to all students of engineering.
Hope it helps!
Hi aspirant,
There is no pre requisites for learning computer science and engineering considering you will be taught from basics. However it is strongly recommended to have some basic knowledge about programming languages which will help you understand things better. If you want to get amazing packages and offers you need to to build your programming skills from as early as possible. During the four years of your engineering you will come across several languages which will include python, Java, c ,c plus plus JavaScript and many more. So you should start learning either python or java which act as the basic languages from now onwards so that you will have better understanding of algorithms and syntax of core programming.
Hope it helps!!
I wont recommend biotech at either nsut or DTU ....cuz it will certainly change ur track...u have fierce interest in coding ..go for cse/it...cuz most of the good companies will not allow biotech student to sit in the placement....and with ur rank i can say that..most probably u can get mechanical too...so fill the choice till mechanical.....biotech changes the path completely.
Dear aspirant !
If your rank is so good that you can get admission in any of these branches, then I will suggest you the given order-
1. SE 2. IT. 3. ECE. 4 .MCE
You can change it as per your preference. However you can expertise in coding with any of these branches. When your placement season will come ,you will be allow to take part in coding rounds and get into a good tech company.
All the best !
Dear candidate,
You can always do coding and go for tech jobs. You will have enough time to grab a good tech company if you start early. Mostly companies allow a non cs candidate for placement but if some doesn't, you can always go for off campus placements.
All the best!!
See, a higher education in Computer Science is a very mathematics oriented field, and if you consider the option of Artificial Intelligence, then the field of AI is almost 100 percent mathematics. So, if you have made up the mind to go into this field, then you will have to face Maths daily, so I would highly recommend you to make mathematics your friend.
Moreover, if you like machines, then your life will become a little less difficult if you go in the robotics field, which essentially is applied AI. Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
Hope you are doing great ! You mentioned four different colleges and different branches buy i don't think that they will involve in any software related work ,you should look for different options if you want to go in software companies .
Hope it helps you !
Thanking you !!
