ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 31st Mar, 2021

Hi

Admission in all the medical colleges is through Neet examination for MBBS etc and yes you will be eligible for almost all the medical college with your class 12th percentage if you are eligible for Neet examination with it but yes there are few exceptions where the class 12th percentage requirement is different to that of Neet.

For example,

We have AIIMS &  AFMC  where the 12th eligibility criteria percentage requirement is different to that of Neet to be eligible

AIIMS

Though MBBS entrance examination has been scrapped off and now admission is  through Neet examination but percentage requirement in 12th to be eligible for Aiims  is still the same .

As per Aiims eligibility criteria,
to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology and English and must have got:-

* at least  60  % in aggregate of PCB and English   in 12th examination  if belongs to general /obc category

* at least  50%  in aggregate of PCB and English if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

* at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB and English in case of general pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this criteria then you will be eligible for AIIMS otherwise not
Also,
* to be eligible for Aiims 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

You can check the same by downloading the official brochure of AIIMS Delhi for which link is provided below

https://www.aiimsexams.org/pdf/MBBS-2020%20update%20%7BProspectus).pdf

SIMILARLY, AFMC eligibility criteria is provided below

As per eligibility criteria of AFMC to be eligible you should pass all the subjects in your class 12th in your first attempt  with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and must  get at least 60% in aggregate of PCB  i. e Physics, Chemistry and Biology  and at least 50% marks in English and 50% marks individually in each of PCB , also should have studied and passed maths in the class 10th.

Also,
You must be at least 17 years of age by 31st December of the year in which you application, for example if you are applying in 2021 then to be eligible you should be at least  17 years old by 31st December 2021. Also, you must not be more than 24 years of age.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

As per the information available, candidates need the EWS certificate issued after the 01.01.2021 by the competent authority to get admission in the session of 2021-22. Just to keep yourself on the safe side, I would suggest you to apply for new certificate so as to avoid any difficulty during admission.

Hope you understand, thankyou!

I got 116 marks in jee main 2021, March 18th second shift.i am OBC NCL,male, telangana state.what percentile and rank I expect sir?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 20th Mar, 2021

Hello,

As per our JEE Main Rank Predictor tool with 116 marks you may expect the overall percentile to be 94.59 - 96.73 and the overall rank to be 51150 - 57500. It is expected that your category rank will be in between 5000-10000. Based on previous year off in round 6 of JoSAA counselling you may have chances of getting seat in

  • Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar: Chemical Engineering
  • Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur: Civil Engineering
  • Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal:Electrical Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Durgapur: Metallurgical and Materials Engineering
  • National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal: Mining Engineering

Cut off changes every year depending on factors like number of candidates appeared, previous year cut off number of seats available, difficulty level of examination etc.

The above mentioned expected overall percentile, overall rank and category rank may also vary.

I give 70 percentile 8n jee mains 2021 which best expected college for me ? please tell me

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Mar, 2021

Hi

I am considering that you are from general category

With  70 percentile

you have no chance in NITs/IIITs etc with above predicted rank. You may try for state counselling for Government Engineering College but even for that your chances are low

With 70 percentile, you may not even qualify jee main as per past year trends .

For example,

In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 and jee main 2021 expected qualifying cut off percentile is 90-95 percentile.

You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

So, I would suggest to you focus on your preparation for remaining sessions of jee main so that you can improve your score   ,  go through chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination. To help you in your application you can use our jee main knockout for which link is provided below

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

You  have chances in private Engineering Colleges with your predicted  rank like:-

  • School of Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun

  • Sharda University

  • Lovely Professional University, Phagwara

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below
