Hi,
It is though a good option to do a diploma as it might give you a specialisation certificate but I would suggest you to pass in class 12 first because without your class 12 certificate, you may not be allowed to pursue your future as a commercial pilot or be it any other course you choose. You should definitely concentrate on one i.e. passing in class 12 because since the syllabus will be different for both, it might be difficult to handle.
Hello dear student,
Greetings!
Both the field i.e merchant navy and commercial pilot are good and both offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
A career in merchant navy is a unique blend of variety encompassed in a single domain. By opting for a merchant navy career, individuals can combine a lot of different facets and gain a lot of exposure in terms of professionalism, adaptability and travel.
There are very few lines of work around the world that pay the kind of salary to entry level officers as the merchant navy does. A very big incentive for anyone to take up a profession is the allure of pay-packages and salaries. Starting at about US$ 1,500 and extending up to about US$ 3,000 per month. Note that this is notwithstanding the training period for approximately a year wherein a stipend is paid out ranging between $500 to $800.
Coming to commercial pilot, Commercial pilots usually need a high school diploma or equivalent. Airline pilots need a bachelor's degree. Allpilots who are paid to fly must have at least a commercial pilot's license from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Pilot salaries vary according the type of aircraft that they're flying and how long they've been at an airline. The median annual salary for the pilot of a large jet is an impressive $121,408. For a small jet, the median annual salary is $104,219. Non-jet aircraft pilots makesignificantly less. There are many pilots out there that make a very good salary, but you can bet that they've put in their time. So if you're getting into aviation for the money, you may want to consider a different career path.
Commercial airline pilots are responsible for the safety of passengers, cargo, and their aircraft. ... They also communicate with team members such as the ground crew and dispatcher; if flying for a passenger airline, they also communicate with the flight crew and passengers.
So , I suggest you to take some time and tqke a decision based upon your interests .
thankyou
