Sir i completed my diploma in EEE Is it ok to study btech in universities other than OU and JNTUH in telangana?

yash 21st Jun, 2019

Trust me when I say this

1. The classes are thought my lecturers and not professors. You must be under the impression that this university has the best professors and there really are good professors, but they will never teach you. Hardly 10% of all the subjects you undergo in 4 years are taught by them. The rest are done by lecturers who are hardly a few years elder to you.

2. With new courses being introduced each year, like IDP(which is mine), IDDMP, IIDDMP, the quality of education is being compromised. Long gone are the days when only 60 students would study in each department and make use of all the resources. Now there are close to 250 students in each department and hence the infrastructure is not able to support them.

3. You have good placements if you join the regular 4 year Btech course, but the 5 year course has less opportunities than the rest. Overall the placements are good, but then for the past few years CBIT is not far behind in placements either. There are many good companies which visit CBIT and not JNTU. Better have enough data about the placements in the both these institutions before making your decision. It's a very big factor, as afterall, placements are what seperate these two premiers from other engg colleges.

4. If you are more of an outside person, then JNTU is better suited for you as its in the midst of the city unlike CBIT. Ample things to do outside campus and the places to visit never dry up.

5. Transport in not provided in JNTU so that is a backdraw. It might not a seem an important factor now, but then it will have a huge impact when you have to find your transport for 4 long years.

6. I do not know about the labs in CBIT but then ones in JNTU are satisfactory. They are not state of the art, but then they are not too bad either.

Well ,these are some of the points I wanted to make, if you have any more queries, feel free to get in touch. Hope this was helpful. Make the right decision and all the best.

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 21st Jun, 2019

Hey,

the main campus of srm is the best One. Ramapuram campus is also good but it’s just that there are fests in the main campus. Also the facilities and faculty is better in the main campus. But still ramapuram campus has it’s own benefit as it’s academic record is really good.

Hi!

Congrats you have done really well! Your most possible unreserved rank may come as 6792 - 8292 based on your marks secured in NEET UG. Exploring the Cut off comparison with the marks obtained there are various top colleges available for you. Specifically if you want Delhi then you may get in Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, New Delhi or ESIC Medical College, Faridabad.

There are variations every year in Cut off due to ROI, candidates appearing, vacant seats, category.

Please note some colleges do not offer Electronics and Electrical Engineering together, rather have them as two separate courses. I have added those institutions too.

NIT ANDHRA PRADESH

NIT SURAT

Sir my son completed BE , ECE with GPA 7, pl advise for further studies or any software course required for job,

Siddhant Student Expert 23rd Jun, 2019

I would advise you to ask your son only , what he want to become in life. What kind of work he likes to do , as for we engineers we can get into any field of work . It should be your sons desire and passion about the jobs he would like to do .

After B.TECH IN ECE , there are two  ways , either he can apply for further studies or get a job.

For further studies, Masters in technlogy or MBA are both one of the best post graduate courses . Masters in technology will give him a job of a researcher( like a scientist) or a developer(who develops things like software ) . MBA will lead to a job in a private or government sector as a for example manager like General Manager , Operations manager, Marketing manager, Human Resource manager, Finance manager etc:

Software courses are roughly of 19 types , he can be a master in any of the field . There are 19 types of developers in the information technology industry :

FRONT END DEVELOPER

BACK END DEVELOPER

WEBSITE DEVELOPER

FULL STACK DEVELOPER

MIDDLE - TIER DEVELOPER

DESKTOP DEVELOPER

GAME DEVELOPER

GRAPHICS DEVELOPER

MOBILE DEVELOPER

DATA SCIENTIST

BIG DATA DEVELOPER

DEVOPS DEVELOPER

CRM DEVELOPER

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

WORDPRESS DEVELOPER

SECURITY DEVELOPER

HIGH LEVEL DEVELOPER

EMBEDDED DEVELOPER

These 19 types of software courses are available everywhere , online or in any private institution . If he wants to become a software developer then he should be a master in one of the above courses shall lead him to a good job with heavy salary.
