Hello Vadla,

You have to opt for the preferences that you have selected. Since you have already opted for construction management and structures. Since they are allocating the seat to you in Preference 1 and not Preference 2, it is on their discretion. You won't be given the option to choose otherwise. Hope this helps. All the best!

Which institute is best in construction management course, Rics Amity Noida or Nicmar Pune???

Swagata Mishra 8th Apr, 2019

Hello Mohanil,

Both are excellent institutions.

RICS is a global institution, the world's leading professional qualification and standard setting body for the real estate and construction sector with 185,000 members in 146 countries around the world. Now coming to RICS SBE, not only do they have excellent faculty but being a global institution, they have linkages to all the top real estate and construction companies in India and around the world.

In addition to this, they have exchange programs with various universities around the world including the University of Salford, Ulster University etc which can give you an opportunity to study in a university abroad.

Coming to the placements, all major developers, contractors, banks, housing finance institutions like JLL, CBRE, C&W, Knight Frank, Arcadis, Turner Townsend, Currie & Brown, DLF, Tata Housing, Godrej Properties, Sobha, Prestige, L& T, Shapoorji, Leighton etc are committed to hiring from RICS SBE.

RICS SBE provides a UGC-recognised and RICS-accredited MBA degree, which is highly regarded globally.

Whereas NICMAR has contributed a lot to the construction industry in India and has a good reputation in the market. Many students from here get placed by its name. The knowledge gained at NICMAR stands very good and helped understand projects in a much granular way. NICMAR faculty are quite supportive and you get exposure to industry leaders which align you with a new set of leadership tools to put into action.

As per the feedback is given by one of their alumni, “The best part of NICMAR is that it always aligns its curriculum as per skills requirement of the construction industry and thus it is piece of cake to achieve 100 % placement for all students in NICMAR which is really an impeccable record”.

NICMAR also provides scholarships to deserving students, based on their performance.

Many top-notch companies visit NICMAR which offer a very good package like Mott MacDonald, Deloitte, PWC, Pidilite, JLL, KPMG, HCC, L&T etc.

NICMAR provides you with a certified course and its PGP certificate is valid not only in India but also in some other nations.

Hope this comparison helps!

Thank you and all the best

CIDC Construction Management Program has dynamic course structure designed by Industry experts and will be delivered by them. Limited seats

Erica 21st Feb, 2019

Hello Rajeev,

Construction Industry requires Management candidates to control and deliver constructed projects. This is achieved by creating construction engineering management personnel. The Program consists of classes followed by a project work. It provides an exposure of existing realities of construction project working to the trainees. Program is structured with 30% lectures and 70% hands-on work followed by 2 month project work. To apply for the course, the candidate can either download the form F1 from the website at www.cidc.in & www.cipdta.com and send it to CIDC or the authorized centre together with prescribed pre-admission fees with the relevant certificates and testimonials as required. The upper limit on the number of seats is 100 & the admission is offered to only those candidates with excellent merit record and written test . This is followed by an interview session. Good Luck!

I want to do construction couse after my 12th is their any facility

Reporter Student Expert 26th Jan, 2019

Hello,

I would like to tell you  that to appear in any of the entrance examination of undergraduate engineering courses, it becomes compulsory that the student must have passed the higher secondary school certificate examinations with the subjects specialized in Physics, Chemistry & Maths. However some courses demand the need of Biology also which may or may not be considered. The percentage requirements are conditional and they vary according to the university or college sometimes even depending on the state which you apply.

  • You can take part in the admission process by appearing for the exams conducted by the colleges/universities and thus getting the seat on merit.
  • You can do the payment for the seats as per the college and get your admission done.

Some colleges that accept students for this course are:

  • National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Mumbai.
  • Karunya School of Management(KSM), Coimbatore.
  • MIT College of Management, Pune.
  • Era Business school, New Delhi.

I would suggest you to do more research and select your comortable college.

Hope this answer helps and all the very best

I want to do construction management... Is it better or not

Niharika Moturu 4th Jan, 2019

Hello Mohan...

Thanks for contacting Careers360..

Yes, if even slightly qualified I would pursue this job. You do have to have somewhat of an idea going in the Construction field. Not so much from the physical aspect, but the Materials, Cost and just the all around affects of like estimation and so forth.
If you go to your nearest College, I would get in touch with an Instructor who is teaching any and ALL Const. classes. Codes which change every two years might be ONE of your MANY courses in which to attend.

All the best:)
