hey,
eligibility for CSIR NET 2020 is candidate must hold a degree in B.Tech/B.E/B.pharma /MBBS/BS (4years)/integrated BS-MS/M.Sc and candidate must have secured a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks in their graduation and c candidate belonging to SC/ST and persons with disability (PWD) need to score 50 percent marks in M.Sc or equivalent degree/integrated BS-MS/BS- (4 years)/BE/B.tech/B.pharma/MBBS, and candidate who have enrolled theirselves for M.Sc or have completed their graduation can also apply for the same under result awaited (RA) category but on one condition they will have to complete the qualifying degree with required marks within two years to get the fellowship from the effective date of award.

The registration date to the CSIR NET Exam was extended to 30th June 2020. The Application form is to be submitted by 5:00pm and the application fee by 11:50pm.
The admit card is usually released around the middle of May and the exam is conducted around 21st June.
However due to the on-going pandemic, the exams were postponed. No official date has been announced yet regarding the date of conducting the examination.

It totally depends upon your interest which way you want to go. See GATE is for job in PSUs, Mtech, MS in IITs, IISC, NITs and other collges. CSIR is for research purpose and you will get stipend of 25k too. JRF is for doing higher studies in various colleges across india for two years whic can be extended.

see you are eligible to give csir ugc net exam while you are in final year of msc course, since you are in first year you need to wait for another year, csir net exam for science stream conducts for following areas of subjects,
1. Chemical Sciences
2. Earth Sciences
3. Life Sciences
4. Mathematical Sciences
5. Physical Science
